What did you like?

Luigi's Box immediately impressed us with its easy setup, rich configuration options and helpful technical support. It was no problem to adapt the system to our requirements, including individual customisation. We also greatly appreciate the detailed search statistics. Above all, we are happy for that our customers have an excellent search engine, and we have seen an increase in conversions and orders as a result. After an extended period of use, I can confirm the high quality of the service and particularly appreciate the quick response of the technical support whenever changes are required on our side. I am also very pleased that we have not experienced any service outages so far.

What did you not like?

It is quite difficult to find any shortcomings as we are not missing any essential feature. It might be interesting to have a choice of several templates with different design elements, although it's not a problem to customize anything using css. It would be also great if the output html code could be edited directly in the administration, but that's not a problem for their willing tech support.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Sophisticated search engine with many features and excellent optimization. The whispering works perfectly, it can even handle typos and allows our customers to find the product they are looking for very quickly. Detailed usage statistics allow us to further adjust our product range according to the current customer interest and reveal our product gaps. Connecting to our e-shop works seamlessly, reactions to changes in the XML feed are snappy and an instant refresh can be made, which is useful when we want, for example, large price changes to appear immediately.

What did you like?

I like Luigi's Box because it works :) After implementation, the improvement was visible very quickly. Thanks to the easy administration, it’s very simple to fine-tune details, and the statistics make it possible to address remaining shortcomings quickly and efficiently.

What did you not like?

Sometimes I don’t like the administration because it’s very detailed and I don’t know it completely, so I can’t use the system to its full potential. I will keep working on it and learning.

The only problem is my lack of knowledge of the system; the main benefit is truly functional search.

After three years, we can say that Luigi's Box is not just a search engine, but a full-fledged tool for increasing sales and improving UX. We look at many things differently than before. The number of zero results and frustration when searching has decreased. Our order completion rate has increased. Older review: A simple and very important application for the growth of e-shops. Significantly improved search with Autocomplete. Setting synonyms for different product names = 1 same product. What did you like?

Search finally “understands people” – typos, different word shapes, diacritics/without diacritics… This is exactly the type of problem that shows you every day how many customers are searching “somehow” and the e-shop couldn’t answer them before. Synonyms and “e-shop reality” – when someone writes, for example, vitamin C serum and another searches for ascorbic acid or C-cream for the skin, it’s great that it can be worked with and you don’t have to solve it manually through categories and names. Autocomplete and suggestions while typing – it seems like a detail, but in practice it’s a huge help. Less frustrated exits, more “aha, this is what I actually wanted”. Reports also make sense to people outside of IT – I like that we can see what is being searched for, what we don’t have, what people are clicking on, and from that make decisions for content and purchases (new products, additions to the range, editing names).

What did you not like?

It takes time to fine-tune. The first days/weeks are about setting things up: synonyms, brand preferences, rules for “top” products, what to boost and what to hide. It’s not “turn it on and go to sleep”. Customizations in the UI can hit limits. If you want it to look exactly like the brand and have specific UX ideas, sometimes you just can’t do without a developer. The price can increase with scale. When the e-shop grows (traffic, number of products, more modules), you need to remember that it is not a one-time investment, but rather a “living” expense.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Luigi’s Box has helped us make the e-shop more “helpful”. Less blind searching, fewer “it didn’t find anything” moments, more situations where the customer quickly finds what they need. And for us, it’s a bonus that we can also extract practical insights into the assortment and content from it.

It does a great job of guessing typos or related files, and the product filtering in the left bar works well too. Plus, it has improved the look of our search engine, which now looks more comprehensive and targeted.

What did you not like?

There is non, we didnt like the recommender on our title site, but perfect costumers support fixed it in like 10 minutes. / so nothing we would dislike. :)

Integration was surprisingly painless. I expected more hassle, but almost everything went pretty smoothly without endless debugging. The docs are well structured and informative, and in the places where we did meet obstacles, the support team was there for us. Also, the stability is solid — even on heavy-traffic days, the API kept working fine with no downtime.

What did you not like?

Catalog browser feels a bit limited when trying out queries or search tweaks. Recommenders configuration was confusing at the start, not as straightforward as the rest of the integration

Die Stärken von Luigi’s Box liegen ganz klar in der einfachen Bedienung und der durchdachten Optimierung. Besonders schätzen wir in unserem Unternehmen die umfangreichen Analysefunktionen und nutzen alle Möglichkeiten, die das Tool bietet. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist das schnelle Support-Team, das Herausforderungen umgehend löst – die Kommunikation funktioniert absolut reibungslos.

Wenn wir auch ein paar Schwachpunkte nennen sollen, dann ergeben sich diese vor allem daraus, dass wir die Zahlen wirklich intensiv analysieren. In diesem Zusammenhang würden wir uns noch mehr Analysemöglichkeiten und eine noch höhere Genauigkeit der Kennzahlen wünschen.

- Das Hauptproblem, das wir abdecken möchten, ist die Orientierung der Kunden auf unserer Website. Unser Menü umfasst eine große Anzahl von Kategorien und Artikeln, sodass es für Kunden manchmal schwierig ist, sich zurechtzufinden. Hier hilft uns Luigi’s Box am meisten. - Ein weiterer sehr wichtiger Zweck von Luigi’s Box ist der Recommender, mit dem wir unseren Kunden passende Zusatzprodukte anbieten können – also mehr Cross-Selling. - Und eine spannende Neuerung, die wir erst seit einem Jahr nutzen, ist der Verkauf von Suchpositionen an unsere Lieferanten – das bedeutet mehr direkte Marketing-Möglichkeiten.

What did you like?

Smart filtering, smart whisperer, recommender when going through the entire store. Possibility to customize the graphic template to our needs. Possibility to create URL links for items from different stock menus

What did you not like?

Only the annual fee could be a bit less, but we understand that development and maintenance + adding new features costs something.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

They have now helped us to increase the number of items at the URL link for items from various stock menus from 16 to infinity, which again has helped us to move further along in sending out newsletters etc.

What did you like?

It automatically corrects typos and misspellings in search queries, helping users find relevant products even with inaccurate input. The recommender system provides highly accurate and personalized suggestions, which noticeably increase the average order value. We’re seeing a high conversion rate directly from search results, proving that the search experience is optimized for real business performance.

What did you not like?

No serious downsides, but some advanced settings take a bit of time to explore. Everything works great – perhaps just more flexibility in visual customization.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Luigi’s Box helps us solve the problem of inefficient search performance and poor product discoverability. Since implementation, we’ve seen a clear uplift in conversions coming from on-site search. It also saves us time thanks to automated typo correction and intelligent recommendations that reduce manual merchandising effort.

Its powerful search and smart product recommendations significantly improve the customer experience and lead to higher conversion rates. In addition to its accurate and intuitive search capabilities, it offers detailed analytics and statistics that are essential for understanding customer behavior. These insights allow us to fine-tune our content, product offerings, and overall strategy to better meet the needs of our visitors and drive business growth.

What did you not like?

There aren’t really any downsides, but to get the most out of the tool, it's important to invest some time in proper training. Understanding how to operate and configure it correctly is essential for achieving the best possible results and making full use of its powerful features.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Before we started using Luigi’s Box, many of our e-shop visitors struggled to easily find the products they were looking for in our website. This negatively affected their experience and likely impacted our conversion rates. Then we found out Luigi’s Box and decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be a great decision. The tool work really well for us, making product discovery faster and more intuitive for our customers, which has noticeably improved overall satisfaction and engagement.

Die Einrichtung und Integration birgt einen recht hohen initialaufwand, vor allem ohne technische Vorkenntnisse. Eine Vielzahl der Anpassungen lassen sich nur durch das Entwicklerteam ändern.

Wir hatten eine Vielzahl an Kundenanfragen, welche auf der Suche nach einem gewissen Produkt waren, dieses im Shop aber aufgrund der schlechten Suchfunktion oder Schreibfehlern nicht finden konnten, diese Probleme gehören mit LuigisBox der Vergangenheit an. Kunden finden ihre Produkte deutlich schneller und bekommen auch alternativen angeboten.

It has a fast search engine.It is possible custom design solution. Liugis Box is a part of Shoptet Premium add-ons. It is a great!

What did you not like?

Administration is a little bit complicated for first settings. But the next steps are intuitive.

Die Integration ist unkompliziert und schnell erledigt. Der Kundenservice reagiert prompt und kompetent auf Anfragen. Die Such- und Empfehlungslösungen verbessern die User Experience spürbar. Dashboard mit vielen Metrics.

What did you not like?

Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn man das UI selbst im Detail anpassen könnte. Manche Suchergebnisse sind nicht ganz nachvollziehbar.

Es ist schnell eine Integration einer Suche ohne tiefgreifende technische Kenntnisse möglich. Man sieht genau, nach welchen Kriterien User gesucht haben.

What did you like?

I like that luigi made our search on online store better, in functionality but also in how search looks. For example, it gives good suggestion in search. If someone searches for apple trees , it gives him blog suggestion, top seller product, and then other suggestion

What did you not like?

As far as i am concerned, it is very subjective, but i must say that price is a bit higher than what i expected, but worth it.

Das Produkt zeichnet sich durch seine einfache Bedienung, den durchdachten Funktionsumfang und vor allem den extrem guten Support aus.

What did you not like?

Unser Sales Kontakt am Anfang lief etwas holprig und wir hatten ein paar mal kurzzeitige Serviceunterbrechungen bzw. langsam antwortende Systeme, die aber für unser Sevicelevel total akzeptabel waren.

Eine schnelle und präzise E-Commerce Produktsuche inkl. Analysefunktionen und Search Management sowie Produktempfehlungen mit individualisierten Empfehlngsstrategien lassen sich mit Luigi's Box schnell umsetzen.

Das Dashboard könnte an manchen Stellen noch etwas intuitiver sein – manche Funktionen sind etwas versteckt und brauchen Einarbeitung. Aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Luigis Box findet bei generischen Suchanfragen gut passende Produkte. Die Suchergebnisse sind deutlich besser als bei bisher eingesetzten Produkten.

What did you not like?

Neben der Suche planen wir auch das product listing mit Luigis Box durchführen zu lassen. Hier hatten wir beim Roll-Out aber noch technische Schwierigkeiten bei der Implementierung, obwohl es im Testshop funktionierte.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Der wesentliche Grund für die Auswahl war, dass wir uns bessere Suchergebnisse bei generischen Suchen erhofft haben. Mit den bisherigen Suchergebnissen hat sich dieses Ziel bereits erfüllt. Darüber hinaus werden wir das Product Listing und Recommendations mit Luigis Box generieren. Wir erhoffen uns dadurch eine höhere CVR und eine bessere UX.

What did you like?

I enjoyed wide configuration options in Luigi's Box admin GUI, detailed integration documentation and fast and flexible development support from their team.

What did you not like?

In some places api endpoints could be more unified, in search you can provide "remove_fields", in recommenders you can not, while they both return similar data.

Robust search engine, catalog management via their admin GUI.

- Easy to understand tool - Intuitive user interface - Data driven engine - Not just search functinality but also other features such as recommenders

What did you not like?

- Analytics (it woudl be great having connection to GA4, Adobe Analytics), Tracking code integration is not an easy and it must be adapted to the main site (if it is not done properly - missing data)
