What did you like?

Lucidchart has many features for diagrams including flow charts. The fonts are different from the regular ones and are professional. Even without the premium membership, one can access more features when compared to other tools out there. Would totally recommend Lucidchart to someone looking for easy drag and drop options with existing templates.

What did you not like?

Considering the fact that I don't have premium membership, I haven't come across something that I did not like so far.

What did you like?

What did you not like?

Which problems are you solving with the product?

What did you like?

What did you not like?

Which problems are you solving with the product?

What did you like?

What did you not like?

Which problems are you solving with the product?

What did you like?

Ease of use. What I really love about Lucidchart is how easy it makes turning my ideas into visual diagrams. The drag-and-drop interface feels super smooth and intuitive, so I don’t have to waste time figuring out how to make things look right. It’s great for brainstorming or mapping out complex workflows with my team because everyone can jump in and collaborate live, which just keeps everything moving

What did you not like?

When working on big diagrams with lots of detail and collaborators, it can slow down a bit. Also, if you only use it occasionally or have a small team, the pricing might feel a bit steep.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Lucidchart has become my go‑to tool whenever I need to untangle something messy or explain a complex idea to my team. I mostly use it to map out processes and workflows that are otherwise hard to explain in meetings or long emails or to work on roadmap prioritization in the sketching phase

What did you like?

I’ve been using Lucidchart, and it has become an invaluable tool for illustrating workflows and processes to my teammates. One of the features I appreciate most is the Google Docs add-on. It allowed me to easily embed my Lucidchart diagrams directly into my document, and the best part is that the diagrams update automatically as I make changes in Lucidchart. This real-time syncing has made collaboration incredibly smooth and ensures everyone is always looking at the most up-to-date version.

What did you not like?

The only issue I ran into was that some template elements couldn’t be edited the way I wanted. However, it was still easy to remove those parts and replace them with my own custom elements, so it didn’t slow me down too much.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

The visual clarity it provides makes even complex processes easy to grasp, and giving everyone direct access to the diagrams has streamlined our communication and decision-making. The platform itself is very easy to use and navigate, and it offers a wide range of customization options for flowcharts, which makes it simple to tailor diagrams exactly the way you want.

What did you like?

This was my very first time using the app, and I found it extremely user-friendly. I was able to create a flowchart directly on my first try! I had tried a few other apps before, but they weren’t very good, so I hadn’t used any of them extensively. Recently, I needed to present a flowchart to a client, and thanks to this app, I could do it perfectly on the first attempt. I also tried the card workflow feature, and it worked beautifully, everything came together without needing to search for tutorials. Truly a lucid and intuitive app

What did you not like?

Limited advanced features: Might be great for basic flowcharts, but could lack complex customization for power users.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Creating professional flowcharts quickly, previously, other tools were difficult or unintuitive, making it hard to visualize workflows efficiently. And presenting ideas to clients, needed a clear, polished diagram to communicate processes without spending hours on formatting.

What did you like?

Real-time collaboration: Lucid chart makes it incredibly easy to collaborate with teammates. Multiple people can work on the same diagram at once, and you can see updates instantly, which keeps everyone on the same page without endless back-and-forth emails. User-friendly interface: The drag-and-drop functionality is smooth and intuitive, even for beginners. You don’t need any design background to create professional-looking flowcharts, process maps, or organizational charts.

What did you not like?

Limited features on the free plan: The free version is helpful for basic tasks, but it can feel restrictive if you’re trying to build more complex diagrams or need advanced shapes and templates. Performance with large diagrams: Sometimes, when working on very detailed or large-scale diagrams take a moment to load changes, especially in a browser.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I use Lucidchart primarily for process visualization in our company, and it has made a big difference in how we communicate and understand workflows. By laying everything out visually, we’ve been able to spot inefficiencies and make improvements much faster than before.

What did you like?

I’m a huge proponent of intuitive drag-and-drop functionality. Those pre-configured, “ready-when-you-are” components empower me to orchestrate sophisticated workflows in minutes—not hours—because I’m no longer bogged down tweaking peripheral settings or writing boilerplate code. Instead, I can focus on high-value tasks such as refining business logic, validating edge cases, and delivering stakeholder-ready prototypes. Beyond the obvious speed gains, drag-and-drop tools drive consistent UX patterns, reduce the cognitive load for new team members, and minimize integration risk by abstracting away much of the underlying complexity. That translates directly into lower overhead, faster time-to-market, and a more resilient development pipeline.

What did you not like?

I find the platform’s current block-spacing mechanics counter-productive. The inter-block gaps are inconsistent and—because there’s no global “snap-to-grid” or “distribute-evenly” toggle—each minor alignment tweak devolves into a labor-intensive, manual exercise. The absence of a straightforward, one-click normalization control means valuable development cycles are squandered on pixel-perfect nudging when they should be devoted to solution design, data mapping, and stakeholder validation. Compounding the issue, the so-called “auto-tidy” routine often re-flows the diagram in ways that break the visual narrative of the process. Connectors reroute unpredictably, decision branches lose proximity to their context, and swim-lane boundaries can overlap in aesthetically awkward ways. The net effect is a workflow that looks algorithmically arranged rather than human-readable—eroding both on-boarding velocity for new team members and confidence during executive reviews. From an operational-excellence standpoint, the lack of spacing controls introduces hidden technical debt: Cognitive overhead: Team members spend extra time parsing sprawling diagrams, elevating error risk during change management. Governance challenges: Inconsistent layouts hinder the creation of standardized templates, making compliance reviews more tedious. Maintenance drag: Any subsequent edit requires re-aligning neighboring nodes, a repetitive task that compounds over the life of the project. In short, without a reliable snap function or a predictable, non-destructive auto-tidy algorithm, the tool undermines its own promise of rapid, low-friction workflow orchestration. Introducing these features would directly enhance usability, reduce non-value-adding maintenance work, and elevate overall user confidence in the platform.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Lucidchart eliminates the typical opacity that surrounds complex software-logic design by letting me visualise the entire decision flow in a single, coherent diagram that everyone—developers, QA, and business stakeholders alike—can understand at a glance. Because the canvas supports snap-to-grid alignment, assisted layout, and quick drag-and-drop editing, I can adjust processes in seconds rather than spending time on pixel-perfect nudging or rewriting slide decks and wiki pages. Real-time co-authoring with threaded comments and full version history accelerates agile ceremonies, while native integrations with Jira, GitHub, and Azure DevOps provide seamless traceability from diagram nodes to work items and code branches. Built-in BPMN and UML libraries keep our artefacts compliant with audit standards and simplify code reviews. The net result is faster onboarding for new engineers, fewer communication misfires across teams, and a measurable reduction in development and documentation overhead.

What did you like?

As a data engineer, Lucidchart is essential for visualizing complex data flows, schemas, and system architectures. It greatly improves clarity and efficiency. This tool is a real game changer for data visualization.Lucidchart's easy drag-and-drop interface and smart connectors make it simple to create complex data pipeline diagrams and ETL layouts. Its wide selection of important shape libraries for AWS, GCP, Azure, and standard database notations (like ERD and UML) ensures accurate representation of cloud infrastructure and data warehouses. This is crucial for designing and documenting database structures and cloud architecture. Real-time co-editing and comments speed up design reviews with colleagues. Integrations with Jira, Confluence, and Slack are helpful for embedding diagrams into documentation. The tool regularly produces neat, professional diagrams that clearly present technical designs.

What did you not like?

A stronger offline mode would help when there is no reliable internet. While it is easy to use for basic tasks, detailed data modeling features can be challenging to learn. Although the productivity gains for teams justify the cost, it can be high for individual users.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Lucidchart helps me as a data engineer by letting me visualize complex data flows, design database schemas, and map out system architectures. This support identifies issues, improves processes, and fosters better communication. The main benefits I've seen are a clear increase in clarity and efficiency in my design and documentation. This makes complicated data concepts easier to understand and simplifies my overall workflow for complex data systems.

What did you like?

Lucidchart works smoothly once you know your way around. The interface is clean, and after a bit of exploring, creating diagrams becomes fast and efficient. I like that there are plenty of templates to choose from, and collaboration with others in real time is a strong point it just works without getting in the way.

What did you not like?

It’s not very beginner-friendly at first. If you don’t already know what you're doing, it can feel a bit overwhelming and clunky. Also, a lot of useful features are hidden behind a paywall, which makes it hard to fully commit unless you're using it regularly. And with larger diagrams, it starts to lag, which breaks the flow.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Lucidchart helps me map out complex systems and workflows in a way that's easy to understand and share. It’s especially useful when I need to visualize how different parts of a process connect, whether for school projects or team planning. The biggest benefit is clarity once everything is laid out visually, it’s much easier to spot gaps or inefficiencies. It's not a game-changer, but it does the job when used right.

I like that Lucidchart is easy and intuitive to use without having to watch a lot of explainer videos, I can just jump right in with creating my charts. I like that I drag and drop chart elements and use key commands as I would use in other software to move around, zoom in and out, undo/redo etc. And exporting in different formats is super useful.

What did you not like?

I wish I could convert shapes into smart objects such as in Photoshop so that I can just update the parent smart object shape and then the changes are applied to all instances using that shape. I also dislike the pricing for the software as I wish they has an even more affordable tier for students.

What did you like?

Lucidchart makes it incredibly easy to create clear, professional process diagrams and flowcharts with minimal effort. Its intuitive drag-and-drop interface, paired with a vast library of templates and shapes, helps me visualize complex systems—especially for things like Salesforce architecture, business workflows, and revenue management processes. What did you like?

Its easy to use and i had no problems creating just the charts i needed. Also i liked the style of the software. The ai features helped me a lot.

What did you not like?

Could be cheaper. The pricing of Lucidchart feels a bit high, especially for advanced features that other tools may offer at a lower cost.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Helped me plan my SaaS software architecture and with database planing

What did you like?

- Lucidchart’s drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to create complex diagrams quickly. - The real-time collaboration feature allows everyone to make changes simultaneously. - The extensive library of templates and pre-made shapes helps me work efficiently without starting from scratch.

What did you not like?

- The limitations of the free version can be restrictive for larger projects. - Performance issues occasionally arise when working with large and complex diagrams. - Learning to use some of the advanced features can take some time at first.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Lucidchart helps me visualize complex ideas and processes, making them easier to understand and communicate. It improves team collaboration by allowing multiple people to work on the same diagram in real time.By organizing workflows and structures visually, it helps streamline projects and enhances efficiency.

What did you like?

How fast and direct-to-the-point it is to start creating diagrams. For me was useful for modelling an algorithm and provide it as a complementary material for a mobile application´s user story. Then it was possible to extract the diagram super fast and crop it to content so that it could be moved somewhere else easier.

What did you not like?

I dislike that once you reach the limit of elements in a free version you are kind of fully blocked to keep enhancing your diagram. You can have multiple versions but until you don´t upgrade then you will be limited to do so. I also faced a problem losing the access to a diagram since it was redirecting me to the home page. The workaround was to duplicate the file and grant the accesses to the people I was collaborating with.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I am using it to describe better and faster some functionalities that need to be programmed, so that people in multiple departments of the team understand the logic and are on the same page.

What did you like?

1: Full Cloud native app, allowing me to use across multiple devices seamlessly. 2: Extensive range of templates, easily to navigate and find. 3: Intuitive menu ribbon and panel layout, with quick easy access to core functions. 4: The software feels far more user friendly and flexible compared to my experience with Visio.

What did you not like?

So far I have not come across anything that I dislike about the software. The simple answer would be to say "pricing", but even that I think is well structured to suit your needs either as an individual or a business.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I originally discovered Lucidchart when looking for a new way to mindmap. I started using it for this, as found is very easy to take my thoughts, and turn them into processes and flow diagrams. Now the tool is helping me significantly with visual representation of ideas. I have not used it yet for collaboration, however I think this feature could be extremely useful.

1. It’s very easy to use, and you can learn it quickly. 2. I really like the UI, as we can quickly access tools that are useful for our work. 3. I enjoy the AI generation feature; it allows me to quickly produce things.

What did you not like?

Slow with large diagrams, high pricing, steep learning curve, and limited offline use.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

We have complex workflows due to our work requirements, and we use Lucidchart to visualize them.

What did you like?

Lucidchart makes creating flowcharts and diagrams very intuitive. The drag-and-drop interface is smooth, and the collaboration features are nice. I also appreciate the templates — it saves time when starting a new project.

What did you like?

Very user friendly, especially for beginners. You can create nice diagrams, organograms for your company, and in case you want to improve processes and workflows you can use Lucidchart to easily map it and identify pain points and points of improvement, all done in a very intuitive way (my experience at least). While it's a cloud based software it's still possible to use it offline. Prompts also for the integrations with other apps (e.g. Google Drive, Slack, Jira, etc).

What did you not like?

Free version has limited features, and if you go for the paid versions it can become a bit pricey, if your teams are bigger. If you are working with more complex diagrams it can lag a bit, so take that into consideration.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I use it to create company organograms and to document processes (it helps to identify pain points and areas for improvements).

What did you like?

The possibility to almost fetch anything from anywhere to add to the grid.. photos, objects, and also shapes.. to make a floor plan felt like an open source.. still has limitations.. but worked wonderfully. Would love it to grow more in this regard. I have not tried charts though.

What did you not like?

The fact the I cant rotate the whole grid was a big hassle.. some other simple features that I would expect were missing but everything works fine.. grid measurements were tricky to navigate and wenn exporting pdf of floor plans, items kept moving which makes the whole plan looks unprofessional.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Needed to draw a floor plan for our new warehouse and office.. It was great to actually visualize all of it and actually get the result expected.. but some things had to be navigated throughout with the missing features and some limitations. So there was some DYI with shapes and objects but that allowed some creativity to get in and take control. Not every app or website has to be perfect, it just has to allow us to figure it out, and Lucid allows just that,

What did you like?

Nice integration with other apps, easy to use (there is still a learning curve, at least if you want to use it for more complex tasks), paid team and enterprise plans allow you to add a password to protect your files for sharing.

What did you not like?

Team and Enterprise plans get a bit expensive and the free version has several limitations (the other competitors don't limit so much the free version). It's missing some CAD-based features which can be needed for more complex diagrams.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Mapping out customer journey and improving the onboarding processes.

What did you like?

I like the ability to make process charts and brainstorm ideas, so everybody in a team knows how the process should look like. Also the possiblity to comment is awesome.

What did you not like?

It's hard to find downsides on this platform, but what I would warmly welcomed would be option to share the charts and the other person could add comments or edit even without signing up.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I use LucidChart primarily for creating seamless process charts that I can share with coleagues, so its easy for them to know what are the required steps of the process. Also for brainstorming and comparing edits on a website (2 screenshots next to each other and making comments about the changes.

What did you not like?

The initial learning curve with the arrows, it sometimes attaches to different position then expected and you need to have some practice to be good at it.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Code documentation. I know it's very different than usual use case. Due to the complexity of the control flow of the tools we create, just a standard documentation is not enough. Lucid comes into the picture here to make visual control flow
