What did you like?

What I definitely like the best is the call recording, the accuracy and usefulness. It's hard to imagine a world without Gong, especially for this use case. The UI is also super intuitive and easy to navigate. I think the Gong team was able to pack a bunch of features in a very streamlined and efficient user interface, which is really refreshing to see. And lastly, their sort of integration as a customer intelligence platform, I think is pretty interesting and unique, as well as the CRM features.

What did you not like?

The pricing is a little bit on the higher side. That doesn't mean necessarily it's not worth it, but it's something to keep in mind and I've talked with certain people from other companies that don't have it because of that. Then, I would say that as a user of a traditional CRM and Gong, sometimes these users overlap a little bit and becomes a bit difficult to differentiate where to go for your data, but I would say this is a little bit more on your organization to decide. Moreover, they have been doing great progress when it comes to email sends, but it still lacks a little bit behind the more traditional emailing tools.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Staying on top of all my customer communications, this is one big issue that we solve in the customer success role. There's so many communications going around, calls especially, but also emails, and having a place to have all this information stored is amazing. The next step there, and also a really interesting challenge that Gong solves, are in collecting insights from our conversations with our customers. This is something extremely valuable for our product team, but also our CS and sales teams. And last but not least, coaching. Going from a place where you wouldn't get coached at all on your calls because there was no repository of them or it would be really hard to Gong is a game changer for anyone that is trying to develop their skills.

What did you like?

Gong makes it easy to revisit customer conversations with reliable recordings and transcripts, so nothing gets lost in notes. The search and highlights help us quickly find key moments (objections, pricing, next steps) without rewatching full calls. It’s also great for coaching and onboarding - new hires can learn from strong examples, and managers can give specific feedback based on real interactions.

What did you not like?

The amount of data and insights can feel overwhelming at first, and it takes time to set up views/dashboards that match how your team works. Transcripts are generally strong but still need occasional cleanup, especially with accents, jargon, or multiple people speaking. It’s also a premium tool, so the cost only really makes sense if you actively use the coaching and pipeline insights rather than treating it as “just” call recording.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

We use Gong to improve visibility into customer conversations and reduce reliance on inconsistent note-taking. It helps us identify what’s really happening in deals (risks, missing stakeholders, unclear next steps) and standardize follow-up quality across the team. The biggest benefits have been faster onboarding, more targeted coaching, and better deal execution-people can learn from real examples and managers can coach with specific moments from calls. Over time, it’s also helped us spot recurring objections and messaging gaps so we can refine talk tracks and improve consistency.

What did you like?

Active Listening & Focus: The biggest benefit is the ability to stop frantically taking notes. Knowing Gong is capturing everything allows me to be 100% present in the conversation. The transcription is searchable, so if a client mentions a specific pain point or competitor, I can find the exact timestamp later. Deal Intelligence & Renewal Risk: The "Deal Warnings" are surprisingly accurate. Gong flags if we haven't been in contact with a key stakeholder recently or if email sentiment is dropping. For an AD, this is crucial for preventing churn before it happens. Competitor Tracking: We use the "Trackers" feature extensively. If a client mentions a competitor, Gong flags it. This allows me to see exactly how often competitors are coming up in conversations across my portfolio and adjust my strategy accordingly. Onboarding & Coaching: It’s an incredible library for "game tape." For enablement, I can share a playlist of my best negotiation or renewal calls. Conversely, I can listen to my own calls to refine my pitch without needing a manager to shadow me live.

What did you not like?

Information Overload: The platform is powerful, but it can get noisy. If you don't set up your notification filters correctly, your inbox can get flooded with alerts for every single call snippet. You need to spend time tuning the settings to get value without the noise. Transcription Nuance: While generally excellent, the AI sometimes struggles with heavy accents or very specific technical SEO jargon we use at Uberall. It’s about 90% there, but you still need to double-check the audio for critical quotes. Mobile Experience: The mobile app is good for listening to calls on the go, but deep-diving into analytics or leaving detailed coaching comments is definitely a desktop-first experience.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Renewal Management: verifying what was promised in previous quarters to ensure we deliver before the renewal date. Upselling: Identifying cues in conversation where a client mentions a problem that one of our other products solves. Handover Hygiene: When taking over an account from a colleague, I can listen to the last 3 calls to get up to speed on the relationship dynamic instantly, rather than relying on vague CRM notes.

What did you like?

An Gong gefällt mir, dass die Bedienungungsoberfläche sehr intuitiv aufgebaut ist. Die Anwendung der Plattform lässt sich auch ohne Einführung mühelos bewerkstelligen. Außerdem gefällt mir die grafische Umsetzung der Sprecheransicht. Dadurch lassen sich sehr schnell und einfach die richtigen Passagen wiederfinden, um keine Zeit mit der Suche zu verschwenden.

What did you not like?

Das Hautproblem liegt vor allem darin, dass Gong vor allem für die englische Sprache optimiert ist, und deutsche Meetingaufzeichnungen nur sehr fehlerhaft transkribiert werden. Das ist auch mein zentraler Verbesserungsvorschlag, damit die Anwendung auch auf Deutsch professionell genutzt werden kann.

Gong hilft uns dabei Gespräche mit potenziellen Kunden und Bestandskunden zu dokumentieren, um im Nachhinein die Gesprächsqualität besser bewerten zu können und sehr einfach Einsicht zu erhalten, sollten Detailfragen zu einzelnen Aussagen aufkommen.

What did you not like?

Nutzeroberfläche empfinde ich zwar als sehr einfach und relativ nutzerfreundlich, allerdings auch als sehr bunt und manchmal etwas unaufgeräumt. Dazu gibt es z.T. Funktionsüberschneidungen, wie z.B. die Forecast Funktion - sowas sollte in anderen Tools (z.B. Clari) passieren.

Detaillierte Gesprächsanalysen führen zu einer optimierten Vor- bzw. Nachbereitung von Verkaufsgesprächen. Der Rep kann sich komplett auf den Termin fokussieren, ohne von der z.T. aufwendigen Dokumentation abgelenkt zu werden.

What did you like?

Ability to always go back & understanding what a meeting is about. Especially when it comes to handovers it is just super handy if you can go back and watch the meetings content.

What did you not like?

For us it works well with Google Meetings, however if customers create Teams meetings I need to manually add Gong -> not sure if there is a workaround. It would also be nice to have Gong not join as a person but rather just run in the back.

Problem: Handover between SE & AE as well as giving feedback when you are not actually in the call. Benefits: Feedback and Sales Enablement, Easier Handovers

What did you like?

The ability to review customer conversations afterwards without having to take notes is extremely valuable. Furthermore, the accompanying transcripts are very good. The summaries are extremely helpful in reviewing the meeting and taking away the key takeaways.

What did you not like?

I find the telephone function too slow at times. It feels like there is one extra step too many between making the call and saving the notes.

What did you like?

Gong is very easy to use and delivers a great UI/UX. It consolidates all critical sales information in one place, eliminating siloed tools and fragmented workflows. Overall, it’s a strong all-in-one solution for sales organizations that want better visibility, consistency, and execution.

What did you not like?

Gong is relatively new to the market, so some features are still in beta. However, this is expected to improve over time as the product continues to mature.

What did you like?

Gong provides a great overview about outreach flows, contacts in flows, overlaps and next steps. Analysis is made easy through team-based views and details on demand. Several performance overviews simplify identification of successful ways of outreach and provide an overall great idea of flow usage and outcomes. The pipeline deal board is a masterpiece of information and enables deal transparency at any point.

What did you not like?

Outreach (calling in specific) is not ideally displayed yet. Took me a while to find my recent conversations call notes. Also, Gong Extend does not really work for me, as it needs many klicks to actually get you to the point where needed. Generally the Gong extension needs some improvement in terms of availability and reliability.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Structured outreach received a huge push and accountability is much better through clear next-step guidance.

What did you like?

The best feature are templates. I love to document them in there and just paste it into a mail. Also I really love Gong Recoridngs - it is very helpfull to get a transcript from your own call and also can watch others and learn a lot from them.

What did you not like?

The Extentension to Salesforce is not working very well, often the buttons donÄt show up.

Since we have Gong, I really like to use flows - but still can improve this strategy

What did you like?

I really like the great use experience. Being able to see all of the relevant data at once. Also being able to track my activity and also see how the customers engage with my mails. And of course, the amazing AI that helps together a great overview of all the deals I have in my pipeline.

What did you not like?

The Gong extension for Salesforce is sometimes lacking or not working properly.

What did you like?

Sometimes, when analysing my calls, there a bug when using fo example the funktion of a summary mail.

What did you like?

Gong’s forecast tool was the main reason I purchased Gong for the third time. What I value most is its ability to deliver structured insights through the AI Builder, on top of the vast amount of data it captures. As a layer over your CRM, it provides everything you need: forecasting, BI, market insights, playbook adherence, pipeline generation, and clear pipeline visibility. The “Ask Me Anything” feature has genuinely raised the bar for AI that delivers practical, usable results.

What did you not like?

Gong Engage is still not as good as some stand alone outreach tools but it will get there as they continue to invest

What did you like?

I find it particularly good that many functions can be implemented in one software without changing the system, as well as the interface to systems that need improvement.

What did you not like?

The beginning was very confusing. Additionally, data changes made in SF take a very long time to be reflected in Gong – thus, forecasts and new phone numbers are significantly delayed in Gong.

What did you like?

Gong is really easy to use and very quick to unterstand. I like that it integrates into our tool landscape and everything feels smooth and seamless. One of the best functions is the account scoring, the call transcript with a summary and automated generation of follow up emails

What did you not like?

sometimes the integration between salesforce and gong takes some time and is not instant. It also happens that inbound calls are not being shown and I get a missed call notification.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Saving my time and the time of my manager in reviewing my forecast and pipeline. saving time in writing follow up emails and getting an overview of my deals and the next steps we talked about.

What did you like?

Gong has become a tool that's my go-to every morning, and every afternoon. It's quick to load, and finding information is easy, and accurate, everytime. It's powerful AI features make summarising and finding easy and intuitive. And as a leader in Customer Success, it helps me better manage my team by having access to everything I need, all in one place.

What did you not like?

The key platform features still focus on GTM/Sales functions, so navigating this can be tricky for someone depending on their enterprises setup and features. The search/data is limited to only 90 days, so having to regularly capture data to look back further is hard, but it is the trade off for quick and accurate tools.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Finding information discussed in calls, using AI and Trackers to better forecast and track likely outcomes, helping us better predict challenges to pre-empt them.

What did you like?

AI support and integration into our CRM. It really save me a lot of time with automatically generated AI summary of my partner meetings and transferring them to the partner profiles in the CRM system.

What did you not like?

There is nothing I can complain about. Maybe you can think of automatically adding the Gong agent when meetings a scheduled/booked externally by partners using the booking feature of Microsoft Outlook.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Using this tool makes my work more efficient. No need to take meeting notes anymore - you get a AI generated meeting summary and it is automatically transferred to the relevant partner account in our CRM system.

What did you like?

the quality of AI generated recaps is excellent, Gong always get the point of the conversations even when they get technical. the "prepare for next meeting" feature is super useful to retrieve past information and act upon them. the feature to write follow up emails saves me a ton of time!

What did you not like?

I would like to have the possibility to write more complex prompt and to follow up on the initial prompt in a sort of chat like in all LLM

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I am saving a lot of time when writing debrief emails to customers or internal debriefs to colleagues. Also, no more unknown or forgotten details: I can easily retrieve all types of details by just typing a question

The ease of use and how simple it is to integrate it with all of the processes that I use internally. It's such a core part of my day-to-day.

What did you not like?

I don't have any negative feedback to really give. I think there's a lot of work to be done though on the AI follow-up emails as they're pretty lackluster.

What did you like?

The forecast and pipline feature is a huge help in our deal reviews and overall planning. The transcription of calls works perfectly and the AI addition makes is very helpful.

What did you not like?

Dislike is huge word. I wonder if one could implement machine learning into the AI features. For example some words are always misunderstood by the transcription like company or tool names. If i could tell the system that we mean "this and "that", would be nice.

What did you like?

I like how it provides quite accurate data from the meetings (specially in English) and that different possibilities you have like a follow-up email or preparation for upcoming meetings.

What did you not like?

I feel that is less accurate in other languages, like spanish. However, having the recording and transcriptions has your back

What did you like?

There are different perspectives I would take when recommending Gong. First of all, when it comes to pipeline management and forecasting, it proved extremely strong (when trackers are properly set up in settings) at analyzing deal sentiment and at steering executive attention on deals with clear gaps: this made the whole team more accountable and objective in committing deals on hard data. Pipeline management made easier compared to CRM (tho we still use it) in terms of actionable insights and warnings. As a sales representative, I do love it on the operational side too: scorecards and trackers, paired with AI insights, make ramp up time when training on new features and sales approaches way shorter and more straightforward (even without re-listening to the calls!).

What did you not like?

The AI functions can still be sharpened: sometimes syntheses and insights feel still very general and need re-working and more context in order to be used properly by reps.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

1: decrease manual work of sales reps in analyzing, sharing, sharpening deal knowledge and thus strategizing on next steps for each deal. 2: to collect product insights and sentiment/feedback from different accounts and deals in a more straightforward and structured way. 3: to make coaching and deals analytics sharper and faster when rolling them out.

What did you like?

As a customer success manager, I like that I can review old calls when I get handed over a customer. It is also great to have a transcript of a call & a meeting summary, plus I love how it also generates a follow-up email that I can use to send to my customers. It is a lifesaver as people's memory isn't as great as we wish it was, and having Gong as a support makes your life as a Customer Success Manager so much easier!!

What did you not like?

I dislike that Gong does not join the call if I do not attend. Sometimes, I cannot make a call I scheduled, but my colleagues will attend, and I would like gong to still attend.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Gong is like my assistant, I can focus on being super present and engaged with my customers, as I know Gong is taking notes, of what was discussed and next steps outlined. Rather than me trying to take notes and missing key opportunities to ask my customers further discovery questions.

What did you like?

Lässt sich super in Calls und das CRM integrieren. Funktioniert bereits super mit unterschiedlichen Sprachen und die Analyse-Möglichkeiten sind super. Spart viel Zeit in der Nachbereitung.

What did you not like?

Teilweise noch Beta Features und hin und wieder werden Calls nicht vom Tool getracked obwohl diese als Gong Meeting eingestellt wurden. Aber grundsätzlich entwickelt sich Gong sehr schnell und sehr gut weiter

Volle Konzentration auf den Gesprächsinhalt und Inhalte können super nachvollzogen werden. Bessere Nachbereitung der Termine. Forecast und Pipeline Analyses

What did you like?

We get the greatest added value through cross-company meetings that you can do with Gong, everyone has access to, the summary function and the AI function. It is very practical to recall informations from meetings you or a colleague had with customers in the past. I also like that you can connect it to other tools.

What did you not like?

Some settings are a little untransparent and the user interface could be better.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I can revisit meetings I had in the past and see exactly what happened there. I also learn a lot by just watching other meetings.

What did you like?

Dein gesamtes Meeting wird aufgenommen, transkribiert und danach automatisch ausgewertet. Dadurch kann man sich komplett auf das Meeting fokussieren und muss nicht mehr parallel mitschreiben und dokumentieren.

What did you not like?

Das Transkript ist vor allem auf deutsch noch recht fehlerhaft, außerdem funktioniert die Einbindung in den unterschiedlichen Meeting-Tools nicht immer ohne Probleme.

Gong dokumentiert dein gesamtes Meeting für dich. Man muss nicht mehr parallel mitschreiben und das Keyword Tracking vereinfacht deine CRM Doku sowie das Schreiben von Follow Ups. Außerdem gibt es spannende Insights und Auswertungen wie z.B. Redeanteil sowie Antwortzeit.

What did you like?

Die Gesprächsanalysen sind sehr detailreich. Die Nutzeroberfläche ist sehr übersichtlich und gut verständlich. Auswertungen lassen sich sehr gut aufbereiten.

What did you not like?

Durch die etlichen Sprachen ist Gong sehr limitiert. Dadurch können bei deutschen Mitschriften größere Fehler in der Erstellung entstehen. Es wäre toll, wenn das Tool mit einer deutschen Version weiterentwickelt werden könnte.

Für uns lassen sich Gespräche mit Kunden super einfach dokumentieren und bewerten. Man verliert die Übersicht nicht und hat key words sehr schnell gefiltert bei der Hand. Es steigert die Gesprächsqualität enorm und man kann sich an die Hilfe sehr schnell gewöhnen.

What did you like?

Die durchsuchbaren Transkripte und Videos sind für mich bei weitem das Beste. Ich arbeite als Nutzerforscher, daher verbringe ich viel Zeit damit, Gespräche durchzugehen, um Themen zu identifizieren und Zitate für meine Berichte herauszuziehen.

What did you not like?

Die Verbindung zwischen Gong und meinem Kalender wird immer wieder zufällig unterbrochen. Das kommt sehr häufig vor und passiert, wenn ich einen Tag mit Interviews habe. Das bedeutet, dass ich die Gespräche selbst aufzeichnen und manuell in Gong hochladen muss, was sehr zeitaufwändig ist! Das passiert auch bei einigen meiner Teamkollegen. Ich habe den Support angeschrieben und gefragt, wie man das abstellen kann, aber noch keine Antwort erhalten (ich habe erst heute Morgen eine Nachricht geschickt, das ist also keine Beschwerde über die Antwortzeiten!)

Probleme - sofortige Abschriften + ein Zuhause, in dem alle unsere Forschungsvideos gespeichert und leicht durchsucht werden können. Mit Gong kann ich meine Forschungsanalyse viel schneller durchführen als mit allen anderen Programmen, die ich bisher benutzt habe.
