Effectiveness in coordinating the external audits and GDPR certifications. heyData is highly automated and very easy to use. Guidance by the heyData team during the onboarding and configuration was very good and very responsive. The process from the initial contact to becoming certified took just a few weeks. It is logically structured, constantly evolving in terms of capabilities, with many integrations available.
What did you not like?
Very minor - but I think the security training material could welcome a refresh. However, everything get passed if you upload the evidence and the team has been always there to support no matter what.

The heyData platform helps to breakdown the often overwhelming need to manage complex compliance management into bite-sized and well defined tasks. It is not just about problem identification but guidance towards the solution.

What did you not like?
While the training content is informative, it is sometimes too generic and could be more interactive. As an IT company, we would appreciate deeper insights into industry-specific data protection challenges, such as handling sensitive social data. Some formats and customization options are missing, requiring us to use our own workarounds in certain cases. An enhanced document editor or deeper integration into our existing systems would be a real game-changer.

The central hub of our data protection efforts is heyData. Here, we manage all relevant data protection documents, from data processing agreements to internal policies. We particularly appreciate the clear structure and automation. For example, the system reminds us of expiring or missing documents, significantly reducing the need for manual tracking.
