What did you like?
For us, heyData has done wonders in helping us comply with the GDPR. It gets us up and running quickly and with capabilities for managing consent, templates and workflows for privacy assessments like record of processing activity (RoPAs), automation for fast and accurate data subject access requests(DSARs) and more.
What did you not like?
Not having a sandbox to test changes to workflows preproduction or a restore/undo button has been difficult for our teams to manage, making us hesitate to work on significant changes on our own.

This visual tool offers us customizable compliance programs and has been comprehensive enough to deal with all of the risks the company has identified. It is easy to assess the current controls in place to prevent, detect and correct violations.

What did you like?
This software can be fully and easily customized for specific needs. Implementation was very easy and it is easy for us to check real-time compliance. Also, we can conduct faster and more accurate testing to evaluate controls, manage issues and demonstrate our effectiveness. The best thing about it being that we can implement and customize in perpetuity on our own without the need of IT dev resources.

What did you like?
Es ist sehr gut einen persönlichen Ansprechpartner für Datenschutzthemen zu haben. Allgemein bin ich sehr froh mich näher mit dem Thema zu befassen und mich in dieser Hinsicht abgesichert zu fühlen. Außerdem war die Salesberatung nach anfänglichen Komplikationen sehr hilfreich und vor allem angenehm.

Die Kommunikation bezüglich was in der Preiskalkulation als "Eine Website" angesehen wird ist etwas irreführend. Eine Website = gleicher Techstack auf gleichem Server. Hierbei können es also auch 10 oder 100 Websites sein, sofern der Stack und Server identisch sind. Weiterhin würde ich mir einen eher geführten Auditprozess wünschen. Es war teilweise, grade für mich als Inhaber eines sehr kleinen Unternehmens, schwer zu beantworten, welche Tools "in welcher Abteilung" genutzt werden.

Ich bekomme mit heyData kompetente Rechtsberatung und Unterstützung von Experten zu Datenschutzthemen. Außerdem habe ich mit heyData einen offiziellen, externen Datenschutzbeauftragten. Weiterhin bleibe ich durch die regelmäßigen Audits immer auf dem neusten Stand.

Tolle Plattform für unser Datenschutzmanagement. Besonders angetan sind wir von der Möglichkeit der Mitarbeiterschulung. Neue Kollegen werden nun einfach zentral über die Plattform geschult. Keine Termine an anderen Orten. Win-Win für alle Beteiligten. Preis-Leistung spricht natürlich auch für sich, so dass wir HeyData nur empfehlen können.
What did you not like?
Der Look and Feel könnte noch etwas verbessert werden. Aber das ist nur kosmetischer Natur. Die Arbeit auf der Plattform funktioniert sehr intuitiv, so dass wir hier eigentlich nichts zu beanstanden haben.

Datenschutzschulungen für Mitarbeiter, Archivierung von Dokumenten die dem Datenschutz unterliegen. Die Vorteile von heyData liegen klar auf der Hand. Der Datenschutzbeauftragte wird nicht mehr wirklich benötigt.

Die einfache Handhabung von HeyData ermöglicht es uns, auch ohne eine Spezialiszierung im Datenschutz, die Richtlinien und Compliance-Anforderungen effizient zu verwalten. Es ist eine flexible Lösung, welche ideal auf unsere Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten werden konnte. Nun ist immer alles auf dem aktuellen Stand des Datenschutzes.
What did you not like?
Bislang haben wir nichts zu bemängeln. Sowohl die persönliche Zusammenarbeit, als auch die Integration ging ohne negative Vorkommnisse vonstatten. So wünscht man es sich.

Es hilft uns die doch mitunter komplexen Datenschutzbestimmungen einfach umzusetzen. Wir fühlen uns sehr sicher mit dem Produkt und können es ohne Einschränkungen empfehlen. Besonders für kleinere Firmen mit wenig Erfahrungen im Datenschutz ist es die ideale Lösung.

Mit dem klaren Prozess, ermöglicht heyData Startups wie uns nicht nur die Einhaltung aller die DSGVO betreffenden Vorschriften, sondern auch bei der Erläuterung zu unternehmensspezifischen Fragen. Wir haben uns immer sehr gut beraten gefüllt. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und kompetent.
What did you not like?
Die jährliche Wiederholung der Schulungen bringt in meinen Augen keine Vorteile. Hier sollte man ggf. über einen längeres Intervall oder eine gekürzte Auffrischung nachdenken.

Wir erhalten eine objektive Einschätzung bezüglich Datenschutz von einer dritten Partei und müssen kein zusätzliches Personal für Rollen wie z.B. Datenschutzbeauftragten zuweisen. heyData hat uns geholfen die Anforderungen der Datenschutzbehörden schnell und kompetent umzusetzen.

Wir werden von HeyData immer kompetent und zeitnah beraten und konnten bisher zu jeder Fragestellung in Bezug auf die DSGVO bzw. Datenschutz allgemein eine zufriedenstellende Lösung finden. Über die Plattform können wir Dinge wie Mitarbeiterschulungen zum Datenschutz einfach abbilden.
What did you not like?
Die Kommunikation läuft ausschließlich über E-Mail, teilweise mit wechselnden Ansprechpartnern. Das ist nicht besonders übersichtlich, insbesondere, wenn mehrere Anliegen gleichzeitig bearbeitet werden. Die gesamte UX der HeyData-Plattform ist stark ausbaufähig. Viele Workflows sind unnötig kompliziert implementiert. Es fehlen teilweise offensichtliche Features wie Anzeige des Änderungsdatums und Autors im Dokumententresor oder die Möglichkeit auch eigene Dokumente signieren zu lassen. Ich habe nicht den Eindruck, dass die Plattform in den letzten 9 Monaten verbessert wurde.

Das Versprechen, eine zuverlässige Lösung zum Datenschutz zu einem fairen Preis zu bekommen, hat mich zur Zusammenarbeit bewegt. Die Beratung im Verkaufsgespräch war super und (offensichtlich) überzeugend. Auch im persönlichen Audit-Call wurde sehr individuell auf meinen Fall eingegangen. Ich habe hier sehr konkrete Lösungen präsentiert bekommen.
What did you not like?
Vor dem Audit-Call musste ich mehrere Audit-Bögen ausfüllen. Das ist für große Unternehmen relevant, für mich als Einzelunternehmen war das allerdings nicht sinnvoll. HeyData hat dann aber sehr lösungsorientiert reagiert und das Manko zum Start in einem detaillierten persönlichen Gespräch wett gemacht.

What did you like?
heyData supported us to set up data privacy within our startup from scratch. The onboarding as well as the customer support is excellent and they do answer all our request in very short time. The consulting on different GDPR cases (e.g. contract reviews) is also very professional each time. Furthermore heyData does provide a good platform to store all necessary documentation as well as keep track of employee trainings. We also definitely value the fact, that heyData takes over the role as external data privacy officer for us and we don’t have to hire an additional legal role internally taking care of all those topics. Their pricing is more than competitive for all the services that they are offering. For us, it is the best all-in-one solution currently on the market and we can only recommend this partner.
What did you not like?
Nothing that came to my mind. As mentioned we are very happy with this solution overall.
