What did you like?

- Response time is the thing I notice most. Every request I've raised has come back within the promised window, and in practice usually faster. A recent example: Latvian law requires a mandatory occupational health check every three years, it's a paid service, and I had no idea how reimbursement worked. I asked and had every answer inside one working day, did the check, and got written confirmation the cost is covered. - They own the local legal complexity instead of handing it back to me. Occupational safety paperwork, health checks, expense rules — the team knows the Latvian specifics and answers from that knowledge. I've never had to research a local requirement myself and then explain it to my own provider, which is not something I could say about my previous setup. - They took responsibility for problems they inherited. When my contract moved over to a direct WorkMotion arrangement, there were unresolved items left from the previous structure. WorkMotion picked them up and covered them at their own expense, without me having to chase or escalate anything.

What did you not like?

- The platform itself is the weakest part of the product. It's functional and does what it must — payslips, requests, documents — but the interface feels unfinished in places and there's clearly room to develop it further. It has never blocked me, but it isn't why I'd recommend the service. - Country-specific rules aren't documented anywhere I can read them. Every local question starts with a ticket, and while the answers are fast and correct, the knowledge lives with the agents rather than in the product. A short Latvia-specific knowledge base covering health checks, reimbursements and safety requirements would remove most of my requests entirely. - Less common cases don't have a defined procedure. I hit one where the obligation itself was confirmed in writing, but there was no internal process and no stated limit for it, so it turned into a back-and-forth about expected costs before anything could move. For routine things the process is clear; for edge cases it depends on who you ask and how you ask.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

- It makes a cross-border role legally possible at all. The company I work for is based in Germany and has no entity in Latvia, and opening a branch here for a single engineer was never realistic. WorkMotion is the structure that lets me be employed locally under a normal Latvian contract while working for a German employer — without it this position simply wouldn't exist in this form. - It keeps me on employee status rather than a contractor workaround. Paid leave, sick leave, state social insurance and pension contributions all accrue the way they would in any ordinary local job. Most cross-border arrangements I've seen quietly trade those away for invoicing convenience, and that trade lands entirely on the person, not the company. - It removes statutory obligations from my desk. Payroll, tax withholding, occupational safety registration, mandatory health checks — all of it is somebody's actual job rather than something I have to track and remember. I get told what's required and when, which is the difference between compliance being handled and compliance being my hobby.

What did you like?

What did you not like?

Which problems are you solving with the product?

What did you like?

What did you not like?

Which problems are you solving with the product?

What did you like?

Absolut empfehlenswert!

What did you not like?

habe nichts zu sagen. Alles is super .Aktuell habe ich keine Kritikpunkte.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

What did you like?

What I love most about WorkMotion is the freedom it gives me to work for companies from abroad, no matter where I am in the world. I didn’t have to relocate or deal with complicated legal paperwork—WorkMotion handled everything, from my contract to compliance with local labor laws. Getting paid in my local currency, with full benefits and security, gives me peace of mind. The process was smooth, and support was always there when I had questions. Thanks to WorkMotion, I get to work remotely for an amazing company while staying in the country I call home.

What did you not like?

If I had to point out a downside, it would be that some processes, like contract approvals or payroll adjustments, can take longer than expected due to local compliance regulations. While WorkMotion handles everything smoothly, there are occasional delays that can be frustrating, especially when waiting for salary payments or document updates. Also, since everything is done through a third party, communication between my employer and WorkMotion isn’t always seamless, which can create some back-and-forth. That said, their support team is helpful, and once things are set up, it’s mostly a hassle-free experience.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

WorkMotion has been a game-changer for me. The biggest benefit is that I get to work for an international company without needing to relocate or worry about visa issues. They handle all the legal and compliance aspects, ensuring that my contract aligns with local labor laws, which gives me job security and peace of mind. I also get paid in my local currency with proper benefits like health insurance and paid leave—something that’s often tricky when working remotely for a foreign company. Plus, taxes and social security contributions are handled correctly, so I don’t have to stress about paperwork.

What did you like?

As an employee hired through WorkMotion, I particularly appreciate the transparency and professionalism of the process. Everything went smoothly – from the contract, which complies with local labor laws, to the clear information about salary, taxes, and benefits. Additionally, I feel like I'm part of a global team without having to worry about complicated formalities. WorkMotion ensures that I can fully focus on my work.

What did you not like?

A potential drawback for companies is the initial complexity of managing legal and tax requirements across different countries. While WorkMotion simplifies this process, it may still seem a bit overwhelming at first. However, once set up, it ensures everything is handled smoothly and in compliance with local regulations.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

WorkMotion solves the challenge of managing complex legal, tax, and compliance requirements when hiring remote employees globally. By using WorkMotion, companies no longer need to navigate the complexities of different local laws and bureaucratic hurdles. The platform streamlines the entire hiring process, ensuring compliance and handling all administrative tasks. The benefit I’ve realized is that I can focus on my work without worrying about legal issues or paperwork. For companies, it saves time and resources while enabling them to build and manage a diverse, global team with ease.

What did you like?

Having EoR processes across different countries in one platform is very helpful. The platform covers most of what we need, and the customer support team is responsive and always willing to help with specific cases.

What did you not like?

Some processes can be quite manual and not always intuitive, so we sometimes need to contact support for things that could ideally be self-service (e.g. editing JD)

Which problems are you solving with the product?

WorkMotion enables us to hire and manage employees in countries where we don’t have a local entity. It takes care of local employment contracts, payroll, compliance, benefits, and other country-specific requirements, which makes managing our international workforce much easier and reduces a lot of administrative work.

The excellent support from the very first contact — professional, responsive, and with an offer perfectly tailored to my personal situation. A very positive experience overall.

What did you not like?

Nothing significant. The onboarding involved the usual paperwork, but the team supported me throughout, so it never became an issue.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

WorkMotion takes the complexity out of international employment — contracts, compliance, and payments all handled in one place. What did you like?

The company provides excellent support and always pays on time, which gives me real peace of mind. As someone employed through WorkMotion in Brazil, I've received solid benefits and genuine help whenever I needed it. One thing I really appreciate is their support with travel-related matters whenever an issue comes up, they're there to help resolve it quickly and professionally.

What did you not like?

So far, I haven't encountered anything I would point to as a problem. My experience with WorkMotion has been smooth, and I don't have any complaints at this time.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

WorkMotion has been very effective at solving practical, day-to-day employment issues. For example, when I had a problem with my bank account, they resolved the change quickly and without hassle. They've also been quick to answer questions I had about vacation days and travel while employed abroad. This kind of responsive support benefits me directly it means less time worrying about administrative issues and more time focusing on my actual work.

What did you like?

Very easy and straightforward website to use. It has all the features you'd expect, like expenses, travels, time tracking, etc, and also a great team to support you, providing webinars and direct contact.

What did you not like?

Prior to my start date I couldn't use some features (like editing my information or adding expenses). It would have been nice to have a tooltip or something to let me know that I'd be able to use that after my start date, because I thought there was something wrong with my account.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

It allowed me to be employed by a company from outside my country, as well as giving me a website where I can do all the necessary things about my job (travels, expenses, time tracking, docs, etc)

What did you like?

Both hiring teams and onboarded talent frequently highlight responsive and clear support from assigned onboarding specialists when navigating country-specific labor or tax rules.

What did you not like?

Time-zone lag: Support operations are heavily EMEA-centric. Teams or talent operating across the Americas or APAC often wait a full business cycle for responses on urgent inquiries.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

During complex post-onboarding issues (such as country-specific tax edge cases or payroll adjustments), ticket response times can occasionally lag, particularly when third-party regional partners are involved.

What did you like?

Workmotion is a great solution when you need to hire outside your country and where you don't have a permanent establishment. The solution is fully compliant and easy to use. We've been using Workmotion for 4 years now.

What did you not like?

Only small downside is the double invoicing system they have. They send a funding invoice and after the month a settlement invoice. This process could be simplified.

We have employees in countries where we don't have a legal entity. We still wanted to hire them as employees, complying with all regulations.
