What did you like?

Onboarding und generell die Funktionalität und UX sind große Stärken. Es gibt eigentlich jedes gewünschte Feature und laufend neue Updates. Besondere Features sind für mich der Marketing Automation (Canvas) Builder, der sehr übersichtlich und umfängliche Möglichkeiten bietet verschieden Marketing Channels zu kombinieren. Ein kleines aber tolles Feature ist dort auch die Clean Up Funktion. Der Email Builder ist ebenfalls simpel und trotzdem funktional. Es lassen sich einfach neue Mobilansichten definieren, testen mit Inbox View oder anpassen von Größenverhältnissen.

Transparenz bei der Abrechnung. Datapoints waren komplett neu und generell ist das Tool schon etwas zu teuer. Was Funktionalität angeht fällt mir aber nichts großes auf.

Die Automatisierung unserer Journeys mit anderen Kontaktpunkten außerhalb von Email war für uns immer ein Problem da unterschiedliche Channels nicht nativ eingebunden waren. Jetzt können wir in einem Tool definieren, welcher User zu welchem Zeitpunkt mit welchen Nachricht und über welchen Channel sie kontaktiert werden sollen.

What did you like?

Braze ist wirklich einfach zu bedienen und es gibt relativ viele Trainings-Videos, falls man doch mal nicht weiterkommt. Im Vergleich zu anderen Plattformen, die ich vorher genutzt habe, bietet Braze einiges mehr an Flexibilität. Vor allem bzgl. Targeting und automatisierten Kommunikationen, auch über mehrere Kanäle hinweg. Templates können außerdem unkompliziert geteilt werden, was sehr hilfreich ist, weil wir mit mehreren Ländern innerhalb der Plattform arbeiten.

Nur zwei Kleinigkeiten: Beim Scrollen innerhalb der Campaigns lädt es immer wieder automatisch neu und man landet wieder ganz oben. Es gibt eine Suchfunktion, aber es wäre super, wenn man auch durchscrollen könnte. Und wenn man 2 Tabs geöffnet hat, z.B. für Copy/Paste, lädt Braze manchmal spontan neu und alle Änderungen sind weg.

Wir nutzen Braze hauptsächlich für E-Mail und Push für alle Arten von Kundenkommunikationen. Personalisierungen lassen sich durch jede Menge Segmentierungs- und Filtermöglichkeiten flexibel ausspielen. A/B Tests können sehr einfach umgesetzt und ausgewertet werden, sowohl in einzelnen Kampagnen, als auch in Canvases. Vor allem die Intelligent-Features sind super spannend, um Kunden in ihren bevorzugten Kanälen und zu ihren Zeiten zu erreichen.

What did you like?

GYG uses Braze as a centralized place to store customer data (both engagement and transactional information), decide on the segmentation logic, and build complex CRM flows. We make use of the possibility to use a mix of 5 CRM channels (email, push, in-app, web pop-ups, content cards) and sync them together to maximize engagement and in consequence increase CLV.

What did you not like?

For some more complex issues, we need Tech support (and these resources are not always easy to get). If you use Braze having a Technical CRM manager embedded into the team would surely make sense and increase your testing velocity.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Our main goal is to increase a CLV of our customers. We do that by focusing on new subscribers' activation, cross-sell post-booking experience, increase engagement in between trips to bring people back to our owned remarketing. We use Braze to tackle all these problems. Additionally, we make use of geo-fences, and geo-location information to send relevant messages to our app users.

Schwierige Onsite Aussteuerung. Schwierige Implementierung einer Ausschlusslogik bei automatisierten Kampagnen. Kundenselektionen können sehr unübersichtlich werden (Darstellung als Dropdown Felder, statt Selektionsbäume, wie man es in anderen CRM Tools kennt). Response-Daten fehlen im Kundenprofil.

What did you like?

I've been using Braze for over three years now and compared to other tools, it offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface. At my company Braze is our only customer engagement platform and it's covered all our different use cases across multiple channels (push notifications, email, in-app messages, and content cards). I particularly like the advanced segmentation features which allow us to customize our targeting in highly specific ways.

What did you not like?

Braze offers a lot of features which can feel overwhelming for new users at first. There are several ways to accomplish the same task which isn’t a bad thing but does require some learning to figure out the best approach for each scenario.

What did you like?

Braze releases a lot of product and feature updates, which is great and makes sure the tool is up-to-date on a lot of market trends. They also host a lot of events and roundtable meetings where Braze users can exchange on their use of Braze. The CSM also seems interested in the well-being of their clients, looking to give strategic and technical guidance. It's also great that it's very easy and transparent to submit product feedback.

What did you not like?

Braze's analytical functionalities are not amazing, you are better off exporting data to another tool such as Power BI, however this requires a current connector, which is quite pricey. The pricing model of pricing on data points is also not always the most convenient, leading to Braze being one of the more expensive tools on the market. There are also some basic quality of life features that I'd love to see implemented, seeing as they would be quick wins with high convenience impact.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Braze has helped us become more efficient and fast in campaign creation. It has allowed us to streamline the whole process and combine our messaging channels in to one tool.

Braze ist sehr einfach in der Bedienung. Alle Kanäle werden in einem Tool bedient und das ohne cloud solutions. Das macht Braze zu einem verlässlichen Tool. Anmerkungen und Wünsche von Kunden werden angenommen und umgesetzt. Man wird aktiv in die Verbesserung des Tools eingebunden. CSM unterstützen bei Strategie und Umsetzung von Kampagnen. Also ein super Tool rundum. Wer also eine Lösung sucht für sein Produkt/Marketing Team um Kundenkommunikation effizient und gut zu gestalten, dem empfehle ich Braze.

What did you not like?

Es gibt kaum Punkte der Verbesserung für mich bei Braze. Wir sind seit Jahren sehr zufrieden mit der Entwicklung. Es wäre gut, die Community noch weiter zu nutzen und Templates für Emails und in app Messages zu teilen und zu tauschen. Zudem ist das Pricing ein negativ Punkt denn Braze ist sehr teuer und kaum bezahlbar für kleinere Start-ups. Selbst wenn man das Tool in- und auswendig kennt, muss man nochmal ein Onboarding Paket kaufen. Das finde ich etwas übertrieben und es kostet halt auch dementsprechend.

Wir nutzen Braze für acquisition und engagement. Vorwiegend im Produktteam. Wir bauen A/B Test mit HTML in app messages, die wir nach erfolgreicher Ausführung dann in das Produkt einbauen. Die Kombination aller channel macht es für uns sehr einfach Kunden zu binden bzw. zu reaktivieren. Kurze Umfragen an Kunden in der App sind mit neuen Templates einfach umzusetzen. User journeys lassen sich einfach darstellen und analysieren. Dafür benutzen wir canvas und nutzen alle Kanäle die uns zur Verfügung stehen. Wir bedienen also beide Seiten: Marketing und Produkt mit einer Lösung.

Das Tool ist nicht nur benutzerfreundlich, sondern auch seiner Zeit voraus. Das Braze Team arbeitet tag täglich daran das Tool zu optimieren, so dass ihre Kunden ihre Kommunikation verbessern können. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die sehr detaillierte aber auch einfache Dokumentation für Braze Kunden und auch die ausgeprägte Customer Service Einstellung.

Gar nichts. Es ist alles perfekt. Ich bin zu 100% zufrieden mit Braze.

Anforderungen vom internen Productmanagement können mit Braze leicht umgesetzt werden. What did you like?

4 points I love the most about Braze. Firstly, the help of Customer Success Manager and support team. They're always quick and genuinely involved into finding a solution for any tricky use case. Secondly, the platform allows lots of customisation (e.g. with liquid logic, key value pairs etc.). Thirdly, Braze is continuously improving. Clients are welcome to leave product feedback and it is actually implemented. Lastly, speed. Braze works smoothly and that saves lots of nerve to the CRM managers.

What did you not like?

Limited analytics & pricing transparency, specifically for the SMS channel. It's hard to analyse the overall volume and cost of SMS sent from Braze in the past as well as predict it for the future. The pricing is, however, based on detailed future predictions.

What did you like?

I really enjoy how simple it is to orchestrate cross-channel messaging strategies, and how visual the Canvases are - especially when it comes to quick overview of the data & results with the custom events predefined. Very happy to try new way to personalized even more our content with the implementation of the content cards and to add a new different touchpoint with our users.

What did you not like?

The limitation of reporting and analytics: the analytics tools are not robust enough and often show irrelevancy date. We need a third-party integrations for more in-depth insights, using mostly Tableau for this purpose.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Campaigns automation: in order gain time, avoid human mistakes, be less dependant on resources. We clearly saw a massive jump in engagement thanks to the automated loyalty campaigns that we lately developed as well as an increase in conversion and a higher revenue.

What did you not like?

Braze offers many possibilities, but not all in one. You have to pay for every feature, so its premium pricing can be a difficult to afford. Moreover, it can be difficult to track complex data, for example for Canvas.

Every time we needed support with a feature, project or concern, Braze was offering all kind of supports.

The ESP is easy to navigate. Its easy to setup new canvas, and it is possible to preview while creating. It is also easy to get engagement data straight from the system.

What did you not like?

How manual certain setups are, however that could also just be our setup. Also the long email rending times given our audience sizes are large.

I’m impressed by the amount of features Braze is introducing every year,from frequency capping to ai-based recommendations .Besides,Braze is quite self explanatory and user-friendly tool.

What did you not like?

Sometimes there are discpepancies in the data, but it happens quite rare.I’ve also heard from my colleagues from other companies that braze support lately took longer to respond,than before.

What did you like?

I like best that the user interface is so easy to use and self-explainatory. I can build complex user journeys with just a view clicks and use all our available channels at the same time. Also, braze offers many options to easily collect zero-party data from our customers and users by providing out of the box In app message templates.

What did you not like?

I dislike that the default purchase event object itself is defined in an for us unusable way. We therefore needed to elaborate a workaround. But this workaround now runs smoothly.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

With braze we are able to manage all our communication channels easily with only 2 people. Ein weiterer Vorteil für uns ist, dass wir in braze wertvolle Kundenprofile erstellen können, die von unterschiedlichen Datenquellen "genährt" werden. So fließen unter anderem Daten aus unserem Data Warehouse ein, aber auch Echtzeit-Tracking Daten über die verbauten SDKs.

What did you like?

Our interaction with the braze platform has significantly improved over the last 4 years. I think one of the most outstanding aspects of braze is their overall customer centricity. Many of the features which were missing when we started with braze are now in place, thanks to great collaboration with the braze team. We particularly like the level ob abstraction of data which braze has identified to be usable and actionable for marketers, while at the same time offering enough flexibility to express our rather complex data structure in our business.

What did you not like?

We likely are one of the more technical customers, where we use non-standard integrations into braze. For example, we are not using the SDK because we mostly ship desktop software written in C++. For these non-typical tasks, we often rely on our custom integration, which braze makes quite easy, but there is always room for improvement :)

Which problems are you solving with the product?

We are running most of our email marketing program using braze, both marketing engagement as well as transactional emails. We also slowly extend the use cases to include direct communication in our products to help users on their journeys.

Ist wirklich einfach zu bedienen, und die Dokumentation und LAB sind wirklich hilfreich, wenn man mit Braze anfängt. Die Berichterstattung ist noch sehr verfrüht und grundlegend, ich weiß, dass sie daran arbeiten. Vielleicht kleine Dinge, die ihnen bewusst sind, wie die Unfähigkeit, aktive Schritte im Canvas zu ändern. Sie arbeiten an mehreren Vorlagen, um die Anpassung aller Kanäle zu erleichtern, aber das geht etwas langsam und hängt natürlich davon ab, welche Prioritäten sie haben.

Was mir an der Braze-Plattform am meisten gefallen hat, waren die Flusssteuerungskomponenten in den Canvases. Bei jedem Schritt des Canvases konnte ich meine Zielgruppe basierend auf bestimmten Merkmalen oder Aktionen aufteilen. Dadurch konnte ich sehr gezielte Pfade erstellen, abhängig davon, wie sich meine Zielgruppe verhält. Die Benutzerfreundlichkeit des Canvas-Flusses hat es mir ermöglicht, den Canvas einfach per Drag & Drop zusammenzustellen und bestimmte Schritte problemlos auszutauschen. Darüber hinaus fand ich die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Varianten von Canvases zu analysieren, besonders nützlich. Der Bericht auf hoher Ebene vergleicht diese Varianten und zeigt den Aufwärtstrend einer Variante im Vergleich zur anderen, einschließlich des Konfidenzniveaus für die Signifikanz. Dies ist großartig für die Überwachung.

What did you not like?

Was mir am Braze-Tool am meisten nicht gefallen hat, waren die Flow-Komponenten in den Canvases. Die Suche ist auch nicht gut, wenn ich nach einer bestimmten Kampagne oder einem Canvas suche, zeigt es mir Tonnen von Ergebnissen mit völlig unterschiedlichen und unzusammenhängenden Namen. Mit Braze wird es richtig interessant! Dank der Flow-Komponenten in den Canvases können wir unsere Zielgruppe basierend auf ihrem Verhalten und bestimmten Merkmalen genau ansprechen. Einfach per Drag & Drop können wir unseren Canvas zusammenstellen und sogar bestimmte Schritte mühelos austauschen. Und das Beste ist, dass wir dank der Analyse von Varianten einen umfassenden Überblick über die Leistung verschiedener Pfade erhalten, einschließlich der Zuverlässigkeit der Ergebnisse. Aber hey, es gibt auch ein paar Schwachstellen, wie die Suche, die manchmal ein bisschen verwirrend ist. Insgesamt ist Braze jedoch eine starke Plattform, mit der wir personalisierte Kundenengagements aufbauen können.

If you can think of it, Braze can probably target it. - Easy to use and comes with intuitive features, as well as Drag and Drop Editors - But you can do full custom code as well - Canvases can be complex and personalised but the Canvas Flow makes them so easy to build

What did you not like?

- Not having auto-save when building messages. You need to hit save draft quite often to be careful - Has good testing options but sometimes it can be tricky to get test messages to surface

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Braze is helping us raise our MAU. It lets us easily target users where they are, whether it be externally or inside the product, and we can do so based on their actions. We also use it to spin up temporary product surveys or MVPs for testing that will later be hard coded.

What did you like?

Braze makes it very easy to both set up recurring workflows (canvases) and have one-off campaigns. We were able to customize our instance to fit our specific needs and pull in our own data to segment and customize with. User-friendly platform. It takes a little bit to learn, but once you get it down you can spin up campaigns in minutes and customize it as much as you want. You may need a developer on hand if you have any complicated email formats, but once you have the template you can clone and edit it very easily. Our CSM is also very good. He is always willing to jump on calls to talk through strategy and best practices, as well as keeping us up to date on the latest features.

What did you not like?

Great tool, but the reporting is a bit lacking. Not a big deal for us since we report out of GA using UTMs, but would be nice to have something within the platform. Also, searching for previous campaigns can be a bit of a pain if you don't know that you can use search operators like you can in Google. I found this out and made it much easier to find the campaigns I was looking for.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Allows us to onboard our new users through email and push as well as cross/up-sell them. It makes the customer journey much cleaner than what we had previously and we are able to monetize our users much quicker and efficiently. By being able to customize the canvases and run A/B tests, we've been able to easily identify winning variants to use as our defaults and keep improving our conversion rates. Before, we weren't doing any push notifications, but now we are able to customize them based on user's actions and custom properties, making them be v ery relevant to the recipient.
