What did you like?

Bloomreach allows us to segment our customers with high precision, making our campaigns far more relevant and targeted. The automation features save us a lot of time by running recurring workflows seamlessly in the background. Another strength is the clear data foundation, which gives us full transparency to measure performance and continuously optimize our campaigns.

What did you not like?

Sometimes the design of web layers can feel a bit complicated, especially when it comes to adjusting layouts. Also, personalization often requires working with Jinja coding, which can be challenging if you are not familiar with it. At the same time, I see this as a positive aspect because once you master Jinja, it unlocks powerful personalization opportunities that other tools don’t offer.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

With Bloomreach, we are able to re-engage inactive & active customers through targeted automation, which has significantly improved our retention. We also save valuable time by automating processes that previously required manual work. Additionally, the platform helps us increase revenue by creating highly personalized campaigns that convert much better than our old setup.

What did you like?

The unified data platform is easily our favorite feature. It gives us a single, consolidated view of all our customer data, so we don't have to waste time manually moving it between systems. This allows us to trigger real-time, personalized campaigns, leading to much higher engagement rates because every message is genuinely relevant. The powerful automation has also been a game-changer. We can set up complex, cross-channel customer journeys for Email, App-Push, and Weblayers just once, which saves our team an immense amount of manual work. It's invaluable because it frees us up to focus on strategy instead of day-to-day tasks. Finally, the integrated Recommendation Engine is outstanding. The AI-powered recommendations we generate are incredibly precise and directly boost revenue. It's so easy to integrate these recommendations into our campaigns, which is a major strength that has led to a clear increase in our average order value.

What did you not like?

While the platform is mostly intuitive, some advanced features can be a challenge to learn. For example, building complex segments using expressions can be a bit tricky, and we feel the documentation and user interface could be improved to make the learning process faster. Another area for improvement is reporting. The standard dashboards are great for daily use, but if we need to build very specific or custom reports for in-depth analysis, it can be a hassle. We often have to export the data and use an external BI tool, which interrupts our workflow. Finally, the scalability of costs is something to be mindful of. As our customer base and event volume grow, so do the costs. The pricing structure could be more transparent in certain areas to help us better forecast our long-term operating expenses.

- Ease of implementation: Our implementation process was very straightforward and we received extremely competent direction. Our project implementation met all deadlines. - Ease of use: Compared to our previous CDXP solution, we cut training time for new employees from months to weeks. Our time from idea to implementation was reduced by ~70%, simply because Bloomreach is easy to use and accessible. - Native omnichannel functionality: Targeting a customer across multiple channels has never been easier. Leveraging all our tools and analysis capabilities across all channels at the same time, makes scaling easy.

What did you not like?

- Prone to bloat: No efficient folder structure in the UI makes for a cluttered and chaotic environment - Barebones HTML email editor: Could use upgrading - Catalog instability: handling is clunky and slow as import instances are shared among regions, critical imports were delayed for hours

- To avoid bottlenecking, we needed an environment that could be used both code-free and code-heavy to leverage all employee types. This is accomplished.- We needed to be able to reach qualified support personnel quickly, their live support is incredibly competent and efficient. - We needed to bring down our system expenditures. This might sound like a cliche, but Bloomreach delivers more, for less.

I love how intuitive the UI is!! New team members can jump right in, no need for those long onboarding sessions. Also, as an employee of a fast paced environment with last minute requests, Bloomreach's ease of use makes it possible for me to still deliver quickly with perfect results. Great speed, deliverability, automation, visual builder, multi-language campaigns, etc! You think it, you have it!!

What did you not like?

Honestly nothing.. the technical team might have a bit of a learning curve at the beginning for the setup, but Bloomreach team is super supportive and readily available, so once everything is in place, it's super straightforward and I can't fault it in any way.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I can automate and personalise player communication at scale, ensuring that players at different activity stages can receive relevant messaging without manual intervention. The setup is extremely visual and intuitive allowing me to easily create the relevant logic, run A/B tests to optimise engagement and segment users based in any criteria I want. This means time saving, higher KPIs and ability to NEVER miss a deadline.

Your remarkably innovative approach to standardizing customer data is truly impressive. Not only does it stand out for its efficiency, but it also contributes significantly to making my work in creating and delivering templates much more seamless, accurate, and ultimately productive. This well-designed system not only saves time, but also facilitates the entire workflow in ways I never thought possible before.

It is currently not possible to upload large numbers of templates simultaneously if they are available in different languages. This means that each template must be uploaded individually, which makes the process considerably more time-consuming and less efficient, especially when working with a large number of language variants.

The main problem is that templates have to be uploaded individually for each language, which makes the process unnecessarily complex and time-consuming. However, thanks to Bloomreach's support, we have been able to make significant progress: they have helped us to effectively standardize our customer data, which in turn has greatly simplified and optimized the delivery of our templates.

What did you not like?

Sometimes it's a bit too complex to understand, seems makes things more complicated than expected. The reporting part, although it offers you total flexibility, is not very user friendly, it takes time to get use to it.

The interface can be overwhelming for beginners. In addition to Academy, which unfortunately is only available in English, it would be great to have instructions/a tutorial in the interface.

Bloomreach dient bei uns als zentrales Tool für unsere Kundendaten, von der aus wir die Daten in Richtung E-Mail, Weblyers, Browser Push, aber auch Performance Marketing Kanäle aktivieren. Der Support des Bloomreach-Teams und deren Integrationspartnern ist hervorragend.

What did you not like?

Es gibt eigentlich nichts zu kritisieren. Das Abrechnungsmodell auf Event-Basis könnte etwas flexibler sein. Anstatt zu versuchen, permanent Events zu reduzieren, um weiterhin auf einer Abrechnungsstufe zu sein, würde ich lieber die komplette Power des Tools nutzen und damit erstmal keine Zeit verschwenden wollen.

navigation within the dashboard. While trying to find a campaign the tool is moving the user between different areas in the menu. Easy to loose track where I will finally end up. Analytics and reporting not easy to set up and follow, i.e. could not set up reporting that would work across multiple campaigns. Not enough pre set performance reports that would allow easy acress to data on the go. report creation process is overwhelming

All the automation and scenario capabilities, the CRM is really great too and the customer success teams are helpful. The ease of designing templates and modification is also great, the custom rows/blocks work well for teams to align.

What did you not like?

The survey results need to be reworked, I currently have to create complex excel files to re-work all the data. Maybe a lack of non e-commerce features/functionalities or documentation.

Email automation and customer reactivation strategies. Pluging and automating the customer data with email strategies is really great.

What did you like?

Bloomreach is the modern day CDP - comparing to other competitors I've used in the past, Bloomreach are by far the most user friendly platform. What once took an age in another platform (e.g. running segments), now take seconds (and you can even get AI to do it for you!). The Bloomreach consultancy team are also brilliant - always on hand to help with any last minute wild request.

What did you not like?

My only dislike with Bloomreach is that I don't have enough time in the day to learn and explore all of its possibilities!

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Bloomreach has aided in all areas of business from team productivity to new opportunities. On the team side of things, the speed and ease at which we can use the platform help us in our everyday tasks. With new opportunities we have been able to expand into new channels such as WhatsApp & Weblayers, and looking to branch out to App Inbox.

To be very honest there is not very much to dislike because this platform provides so many advanced features for marketers that there is nothing to compare it to at the moment.

The Bloomreach Engagement platform enables us to customize our marketing initiatives, enabling us to promote the appropriate products to the correct demographics. Because Bloomreach utilizes a sophisticated AI engine, its forecasting models and Gen AI elements are highly effective and valuable. The easy to use user-interface that makes everything from creating email & SMS campaigns to detailed analytic reports easy to do and understand. The depth of customer data we can retrieve from the platform is better than any CRM platform I have used in the past.

What did you not like?

Addressing the elephant in the room, it is not the cheapest CRM solution out there, but having used a host of other providers in the past, I would never now be without Bloomreach. It has already been a deciding factor in my career when deciding which company to join.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Before we partnered with Bloomreach we had an ESP, SMS platform, and relied solely on Google Analytics for all reporting. Now that we are with Bloomreach, we are going to be able to pull together each of these solutions to one platform. The support that Bloomreach provides in the form of weekly sync calls, consistently analysing our offering and suggesting out of the box automations & dashboards that will supercharge our performance, and business intelligence.

What did you not like?

One downside of Bloomreach Engagement is its longer learning curve. While the platform offers powerful features, it can take time for teams to fully understand and utilize all its capabilities. The complexity of setting up advanced workflows and integrations may require additional training or support, especially for less tech-savvy users.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

With Bloomreach Engagement, we are solving issues related to customer engagement and personalization. We’ve been able to streamline our email campaigns, create effective pop-ups and weblayers, and leverage first-party data to better target our customers. This has resulted in more relevant communications, higher engagement rates, and improved customer retention. By utilizing first-party data, we can now offer more personalized experiences, leading to better conversion rates and overall marketing efficiency.

What did you like?

Flexibility of the platform and how easy it is to use your data in whatever way you want whether it be in reporting or segmentation

What did you not like?

Since platform is priced on event usage, this can be hard to forecast long term

What did you like?

Fast. Great dashboards. Can create journeys. Run personalised campaigns across different channels . Real time data gives opportunity to report better.

What did you not like?

So much to learn....not a bad thing lol. It is always being improved so there's lots of new features to use.

What did you like?

The super-flexible email designer makes editing to tight deadlines easy. Alongside the intuitive scenario builder you can be master of your email sends.

What did you not like?

Asset management is only functional and could be a bit faster. It's a small price to pay however.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Changing layouts in emails and being able to A/B test them with a quick turnaround. Being able to template from any design and being able to save and reuse modular parts of designs. Language adaptations are also easy.

What did you like?

Ability to work with your customer data easily and basically with no limits. How easy it is to understand, to use within marketing teams.

What did you not like?

Lots of my clients would prefer more pre-made dashboards and reports that would not require much further adjustment. This is also what I like that you can work with your data however needed (but on the other hand makes using premade templates harder).

Which problems are you solving with the product?

360 degrees customer view and customer segmentations. Personalisation and omnichannel marketing. Lots of AB testing.

What did you like?

I like how once you have the basics, you are continuing to learn with the tool and the features I have set live in engagement have given instant results! I also love the support team and our CSM who are both equally friendly and helpful in their responses!

What did you not like?

It is very techy! You will need to take their courses but who doesn't love learning!

Which problems are you solving with the product?

I have solved ease of application of promotions with bloomreach by utilising their use cases. I have been able to use AI to create quick reports that other people have been looking for. I have also increased our subscriber base by just a simple pop up!

What did you like?

Bei schemalosen Datenstrukturen gibt es nur sehr wenige Einschränkungen bei der Einrichtung der CDP. Die In-RAM-Datenspeicherung macht die Datenverarbeitung und die Benutzeroberfläche rasend schnell. In der Regel kann allein mit dem E-Mail-Kanal ein erheblicher ROI erzielt werden, da er eine hervorragende Zustellbarkeit von E-Mails ermöglicht.

What did you not like?

Discovery und Engagement werden im Laufe der Zeit stärker integriert, aber im Moment gibt es noch einige Redundanzen, wie z. B. Produkt-Feeds/Indizes. Der Engagement Service Worker arbeitet nicht gut mit Shopify zusammen, vor allem aufgrund der Shopify-Einschränkungen.

Als unabhängiger MarTech-Ingenieur ist die Implementierung des Bloomreach Engagement CDP- und Marketing Automation-Stacks aufgrund der hervorragenden Dokumentation, der flexiblen Datenstrukturen, der schnellen Datenaufnahme, der wiederverwendbaren Komponenten und des hervorragenden Supports ein Kinderspiel. Die Marketingabteilungen meiner Kunden sind dann weniger auf die IT-Entwicklung angewiesen, weil sie selbst mehr erreichen können. Durch die Konsolidierung mehrerer Martech-Anbieter zu einer Best-of-Suite-Lösung wird auch die technische Wartung weniger kostspielig.

I love being able to instantly deploy custom weblayers to our website, as well as the easy-to-use drag-and-drop email editor.

What did you not like?

Some powerful features require a fairly robust understanding of coding language, specifically Jinja. Would be nice to have more wizard tools for this.

Bloomreach allows me to automate email marketing to connect with customers at the right time in their life cycle. Weblayers allow us to quickly and easily deploy onsite messaging to highlight promotions or deliver timely messaging about site maintenance/outages, or shipping delays.

What did you not like?

Despite its impressive flexibility, using Bloomreach effectively demands a significant time commitment. Moreover, navigating its features can feel daunting until you've gained a solid understanding of the platform. Users should exercise caution with processed events, as they accumulate rapidly. It's crucial to bear in mind that every action, from campaigns to Facebook audiences to AB tests, generates events. Following recommended best practices can exacerbate this issue in many cases.

The accessibility of customer insights has massively improved for us since we implemented bloomreach, as well as the ease of data analysis. Truly enabling a omnichannel approach

What did you like?

Bloomreach enables us to have all data in one tool and every calculation is really done in a few seconds. It's awesome to click complex segmentations that easily. Expressions and aggregates help to screen event attributes and use relevant parts of them as customer attributes without further imports. Furthermore, the data activation is done directly in Bloomreach and we can manage campaigns without loosing data when transferring from one to another tool.

What did you not like?

The tool is very complex and is quite hard to understand in the beginning. The setup is quite difficult when not worked with such a system before and some mistakes can't be cleaned easily afterwards. I would always recommend to read through the very detailled documentation before starting live projects. Housekeeping should be done carefully and event volumens need to be monitored strictly as they might explode by mistakes and cause more costs than expected.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Data management, campaign creation, segmentation and orchestration as well as reporting in one tool. Less problems with synchronisation between tools or systems. Independency from IT ressources as soon as implemented well and Marketing department got know-how in Jinja and using Bloomreach.

Sehr intuitiv bei der Erstellung von Webseiten, durch Baukastensystem mit wiederverwendbaren Modulen (dadurch einheitliches Erscheinungsbild aller Seiten), Livegang von Änderungen kann voreingestellt werden und automatisch zum bestimmten Zeitpunkt live gehen, optimale Aussteuerung der Seiten auf allen Endgeräten.

What did you not like?

Suchfunktion funktioniert nicht optimal (Find and replace nicht vorhanden), man weiss nicht welche Module auf welcher Seite verbaut sind

Mit Bloomreach werden Internetseiten in einheitlichem Look erstellt. Die vielen Funktionsmöglichkeiten erlauben Flexibilität bei der Gestaltung der Seiten. Diese werden auf allen Devices optimal ausgestrahlt. Durch Funktion des Schedulings können Änderungen zu gewünschten Zeitpunkten (z.b. mit Beginn einer Kampagne um 0:00 Uhr) automatisch publiziert werden.
