Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a so-called crawler, which is a software that specifically scans a website or parts of it. By default or with individually adjusted properties, the commonly named "Frog" tool collects various SEO-relevant data such as links, (intermediate) headings or pages with 404 errors. All data can be exported and subsequently edited, for example, in Excel. Smaller websites with up to 500 URLs can be crawled free of charge with the Screaming Frog SEO Spider. The software, available since 2011, is particularly popular amongst SEOs with some experience, because the simple capture of raw data and the option to link Google's Search Console and Analytics offers a vast scope for individual analyses.
