Klarna

Klarna claims to be Europe's most well-funded Fintech, aiming to "fundamentally change the payment experience for buyers and sellers". Founded in 2005, Klarna now counts around 200,000 active merchants, approximately 85 million end customers, and around 1 million transactions per day. In 2014, Klarna took over Sofort GmbH, followed by the acquisition of Billpay GmbH and licensing as a bank in 2017, allowing the Klarna Bank (as the Swedish company has been officially named since then) to offer a range of its own financial products to buyers and sellers. With Klarna, outstanding payments can be made quickly, easily, and securely - either immediately, at a later date, or in instalments. Users also have access to a Klarna App and a Klarna Card, which can be used online and in stores.
