Der größte Mehrwert für uns: Syndigo ist nicht nur ein PIM, sondern ein vollwertiges Multi-Domain-MDM. Wir haben unseren kompletten Artikelanlageprozess, der zuvor über eine separate Software lief, in Syndigo abgebildet und konnten die Durchlaufzeit von der Artikelanlage bis zur Produktion drastisch reduzieren – dank durchgängiger Workflows statt Systembrüchen. Darüber hinaus decken wir mit der Plattform auch das Digital Asset Management sowie das Sustainability & Chemical Management ab, sodass Nachhaltigkeitsdaten direkt am Produkt gepflegt und ausgeleitet werden können – alles in einer zentralen Lösung statt in Insellösungen. Die integrierte Syndizierung an Handelspartner und Kanäle funktioniert zuverlässig und spart uns enorm viel manuellen Aufwand. Und schließlich heben die KI-Funktionen (u. a. die AI GoPilots) das System auf ein neues Level: automatisierte Content-Erstellung, Klassifizierung und Anreicherung von Produktdaten beschleunigen unsere tägliche Arbeit spürbar. In Summe für uns ein herausragendes System.
What did you not like?
Ein Punkt, den man realistisch einplanen sollte: Die Einführung und Integration nimmt Zeit in Anspruch. Das liegt jedoch nicht an der Software selbst, sondern daran, dass die eigenen Daten intern zunächst aufbereitet, bereinigt und strukturiert werden müssen – ein Aufwand, der bei jedem MDM-/PIM-Projekt anfällt, unabhängig vom Anbieter. Wer hier ausreichend interne Ressourcen einplant, wird mit einer sauberen, zentralen Datenbasis belohnt, von der das gesamte Unternehmen langfristig profitiert. Insofern ist das weniger eine Schwäche des Systems als eine Investition, die sich klar auszahlt – bei uns sichtbar an den deutlich verkürzten Prozesszeiten.

Vor Syndigo lief unser Artikelanlageprozess über eine separate Software mit vielen manuellen Schritten und Systembrüchen – das hat den Prozess von der Anlage bis zur Produktion unnötig verlangsamt. Mit Syndigo haben wir diesen Prozess komplett in einer Plattform abgebildet und die Durchlaufzeit drastisch reduziert. Außerdem lösen wir das Problem verteilter Datensilos: Produktdaten, digitale Assets und Nachhaltigkeitsdaten liegen jetzt zentral in einem System und werden von dort direkt an unsere Kanäle und Handelspartner syndiziert. Die KI-Funktionen nehmen uns zusätzlich manuelle Arbeit bei der Anreicherung und Pflege der Produktdaten ab.

What did you like?
1. Data analysis and deep diving in customer issues — Syndigo helped us monitor vendor data quality, identified publication errors and mapping issues, and resolved them in real time, which is critical given the technical complexity we cannot efficiently troubleshoot at scale internally. 2. Onboarding support — Their dedicated specialist model, with 1-to-1 training, weekly check-ins, and end-to-end guidance from account setup through full catalogue publication, removed the operational burden from our internal teams and accelerated GDSN expansion across markets. 3. Market insights — Syndigo brings visibility into datapool-level adoption across EU5, helping us identify which vendors are already on GDSN but under-publishing, and providing the client intelligence needed to prioritize outreach and target the right vendors for expansion.
What did you not like?
One area for improvement would be the pace of execution — at times, the process moved slower than anticipated

We lack the internal technical capacity to support GDSN market expansion at scale, as data mapping, attribute translation, and compliance validation across EU5 require specialist expertise our teams are not resourced to provide.Syndigo's support drove measurable coverage improvements for our 3 pilot vendors.

Syndigo ist hoch konfigurierbar und bietet viele Funktionen zu Data collection, automation, governance und distribution. Aufgrund der daraus resultierenden hohen Flexibilität kann eine Anforderung meist auf verschiedenen Wegen gelöst werden. Hervorzuheben sind die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten für End-user schnell und effizient größere Mengen an Daten zu ändern.
What did you not like?
Die Flexibilität und der Featureumfang ist Anfangs überfordernd und bedarf daher sehr gutes Consulting, d.h. syndigo Erfahrung und Expertise. Wir haben uns im Initialprojekt nicht optimal beraten und unterstütz gefühlt. Auch die technische Dokumentation ist lückenhaft und nicht immer up2date. Das User Interface könnte insgesamt moderner und etwas leichter zu bedienen sein.

The support team and specially the Customer Success Manager (Lukas Nolden) has been very responsive to our all the queries and we received saitsfatory resolution from Syndigo team.
What did you not like?
What could potentially be improved is implementing the country specific validation rules right within the Publishing UI of Syndigo. This could help reduce the CIC feedback that we recived from our customers, and then only thing to be taken care of on top is the retailer specific valiation rules to be implemented manually before publication outside of the Publication UI of Syndigo.

What did you like?
We primarily use Syndigo for GDSN services and have had a very positive experience overall. The service has been reliable, and the collaboration with the Syndigo team has been particularly strong. Lukas has been very responsive, pragmatic and easy to work with, and we have always been able to get support quickly when questions or operational issues arise
What did you not like?
Nothing significant so far. However, whenever we have needed clarification, the Syndigo team has been helpful in resolving it.

What did you like?
Our data is in a central location and meets GS1 standards. We are able to constantly improve our data because Syndigo reports inform us what we need to improve. A dedicated Customer Success Manager taking time to help us with long term success projects.
What did you not like?
Trainings and How to videos could be updated. A product can show as not having any validation errors, but then in the DQX reports it is listed with errors. Training on what the customer sees when we publish data would be very helpful.
Which problems are you solving with the product?
Currently working on a project to integrate/link SAP with Syndigo so that we remove the error of manual input. Looking at how we can integrate our other markets into one Syndigo dashboard.

What did you like?
Es gibt eine übersichtliche Plattform. Der schnelle und nette Support bei Fragen/Problemen. Bearbeitung einzelner Artikel finktioniert schnell.
What did you not like?
Die Plattform wird bei längerer Arbeit langsamer und. Bei der erweiterten Suche fehlt für mich die Auswahl "Gültig ab Datum". Mit den M-Nummern wären die Attribute im Portal schneller zu finden, als den Text einzugeben.
