pCloud is made in Europe, with a focus on data security. Files stored in pCloud are secured with 256-bit AES encryption during and after transmission. pCloud uses the TLS/SSL protocol, which is applied when transferring information from devices to the pCloud servers. More than 5 copies of all files are stored at a minimum of three server locations in a data storage area. Users can activate client-side encryption for confidential files. pCloud Encryption is an additional file protection layer that encrypts files on local devices before they are uploaded to the pCloud servers. The cost starts at 175 euros per month for 500 GB with a one-time payment. There are also additional packages such as pCloud for Family or the pCloud Business solution.
