Product Information Management (PIM)
What did you like?
Built on Laravel, so extending it or hooking it into an existing PHP/Laravel stack is straightforward instead of fighting a black-box system. Genuinely MIT-licensed, no feature paywall pushing you toward an "enterprise edition." Native Digital Product Passport support (ESPR, GS1 Digital Link) is ahead of most competitors on this specific point. Good fit for mid-size EU catalogs that outgrew spreadsheets but don't need SAP-scale MDM.
What did you not like?
Younger project than Akeneo or Pimcore, so the plugin/connector ecosystem is still growing - fine if you have implementation support, less so for pure self-serve setups. Documentation covers the core well but some edge cases still need direct support from the team.
Which problems are you solving with the product?
We use UnoPim to get clients off spreadsheet-based product management without locking them into per-SKU SaaS pricing or shipping product data outside the EU. Biggest wins: cutting new-product onboarding time by centralizing attributes and syncing them out to the webstore and marketplaces instead of re-entering data per channel, and having Digital Product Passport fields (ESPR, GS1 Digital Link) available natively instead of building that ourselves for clients in textiles/electronics who are starting to ask about DPP compliance ahead of the 2027 deadline. Being Laravel-based also meant our ERP integration work went faster than it would have on a heavier Symfony-based alternative.
