Das Userinterface ist aus meiner Sicht selbsterklärend - man kann in wenigen Minuten schöne Webseiten bauen. Wir hatten ein sehr komplexen Use Case und konnten dafür vieles von Storyblok verwenden - unterschiedliche Nutzerrechte, diverse Kundenkategorien mit anderen Inhalten, Datenmanagement (Verwaltung von Bildern, Texten) usw.

Das Thema Internationalisierung ist aus meiner Sicht noch ausbaufähig - gerade bei Übersetzungen wäre eine Funktion à la DeepL wesentlich.

Sehr intuitives System - einfache Handhabung, auch ohne große Einschulung und CMS Vorkenntnisse findet man sich schnell zurecht

Wenn man eine Seite bearbeitet, muss man derzeit auf eine Section klicken, damit man im Bearbeitungsmodus in der Vorschau sieht, welches Modul bearbeitet wird. Bei sehr umfangreichen Seiten mit viel Inhalt und vielen gleichen Modulen ist das oftmals nicht ideal. Es wäre super, wenn man sofort sieht, welches Modul bearbeitet wird, wenn man nur bei dem Cursor über die Section geht.

Die einfache Erstellung von Seiten und Seiteninhalten. Die Möglichkeit über verschiedene Module Features nachzurüsten.

Teilweise müssen die Draft Seiten mit F5 neu geladen werden, um die richtige Darstellung der Seiteninhalte zu sehen.

Das ich Fotos nach wie vor selber runterrechnen muss, und auch dass es keine Funktion für eine persönliche Fotodatenbank gibt.

Das Konzept von Bloks ist gerade für Softwareentwickler super zu programmieren. Damit lassen sich komplexe aber auch sehr alltägliche Fälle umsetzen. Die Vorschau gefällt unseren Kunden sehr fest und schätzen, quasi browsen und bearbeiten zu können.

Für komplexe Webseiten ist Storyblok nur bedingt geeignet. Wenn es darum geht, Daten zu speichern, User zu authentifizieren oder gegen das schier endlose Plugin-Ökosystem von Wordpress anzukommen.

Wir lösen hauptsächlich KMU-Webseiten mit Storyblok. Wir mögen den einzigartigen, visuellen Ansatz und können damit auch bei Kunden trumpfen. Die dynamische Kombinierbarkeit der Blöcke ist ebenfalls sehr attraktiv.

Gute Dokumentation, einfach zu nutzendes Backend, relativ übersichtlich.

What did you not like?

Es wäre cool, wenn es zu einigen Themen noch etwas mehr "best practice" Anleitungen geben würde. Das ist allerdings "meckern auf hohem Niveau" :-) Beispiel: Translation handling, Release Management

What did you like?

In most client website projects you will need a system where the author can manage the content (text, images, video, ...) in the easiest way possible. For this use case, content management systems were born. Some time ago we built websites with WordPress and visual page builder extensions to give our clients an easy way to manage content. As time flies, "better" things come up in terms of usability, speed, and security. So we found with Storyblok a perfect match to build our websites. If you have already build websites with visual page builders you probably familiar with the concepts. Storyblok adds that with "a unique combination of visual editing tools and highly customizable content blocks" as their stated on their website. The best part is that you able to code your Vue, React, e.g. components and reflect them in Storyblok.

What did you not like?

I think the most confusing part for Content Managers and even developers are relations and how to resolve them. So I think this can be improved in future. Additionally the UI is bit outdated which will be solved with the upcoming v2.0 version

Which problems are you solving with the product?

We're building small to enterprise Websites and even Browser Apps with it. It can be used as a unified tool to serve data to different endpoints.

I can manage screen content, I can manage non-screen content too. I can create pages, and remove them again. It’s my lego box and there are custom pieces too in the plugin area

What did you not like?

There’s not enough SDK integration with many frameworks yet. It works everywhere but you don’t feel like a first class citizen in most frameworks yet

What did you like?

The visual editor is a unique feature that I haven't had with other competitors like Contentful. Also, the flexibility it gives you when creating custom blocks allows developers to make any type of content very easy to use for editors. The free account for developers is also very generous for someone who wants to try it out. It's also built with Nuxt! <3

What did you not like?

The documentation by storyblok is great but there are not a lot of other examples or starter repos on the internet by other communities or developers. I guess this will change with time once it becomes more and more popular.

The CMS is very flexible since it's a headless CMS but at the same time very structured because of the visual editor that mimics the final look of the website.

Die zugrundeliegende clounative Architektur macht bereits viel besser, als andere CMS, die versuchen headless zu werden. Außerdem schreitet die Entwicklung schnell voran, sodass Storyblok mehr und mehr auch für Enterprise Projekte mit anderen CMS konkurriert.

Bisher habe ich nichts zu beanstanden. Neue Feature Ideen oder Bugs können schnell mit dem Support besprochen werden.

Ein super Headless CMS mit einem sehr guten Visual Editor /Live Preview. Somit kann auch Personal ohne technischem Hintergrund Inhalte einfach pflegen. Gute Erweiterbarkeit durch eigene Plugins.

What did you not like?

Aktuell gibt es noch keinen Market Place für Plugins. Integration von Produktdaten aus einem eigenen E-Commerce System, könnte noch einfacher sein.

What did you like?

Der visuelle Editor ermöglicht auch nicht technischem Personal Content einfach zu warten. Die Feature Vielfalt und auch das Image Service bieten enorme Möglichkeiten. On Top kann durch Plugins und Apps das System, seine schon große Vielfalt, noch zusätzlich durch User erweitert werden um grenzenlose Möglichkeiten zu ermöglichen.

What did you not like?

Die Komponenten Bibliothek könnte durchsuchbar sein. Es gibt noch keinen Market Place für Apps und Field Types. Das Entwickeln von Field Types ist nicht optimal im Developer mode - zumindest könnte das sicher noch optimaler gestaltet werden. :)

Wir setzen Storyblok für Webseiten als auch große Webprojekte ein. Es lässt sich Alles damit lösen, von simplen Content Fragen, bis zu Data Stores etc. Die Vorteile liegen ganz klar in der Erweiterbarkeit und der Flexibilität, Herausforderungen auf verschiedene Art und Weise lösen zu können.

What did you like?

Einmal aufgesetzt lässt sich mit dem CMS flexibel die Website gestalten und erweitern. Verschiedene Bausteine können ohne Programmierung zu einer neuen Seite zusammengestellt werden. Storyblok ist in Österreich gegründet und entwickelt die Funktionen ständig weiter.

What did you not like?

Das Setup und einige Bereiche benötigen dennoch Programmieraufwand. Aber ich denke das ist bei den meisten Systemen so.
