Who is hackers&wizards?
hackers&wizards, based in Hamburg, makes whole companies unstoppable, in flow with agentic engineering. We train and mentor engineering and product teams and their leaders, on their own codebase. As forward deployed agentic engineers, we work inside your teams, not next to them.
Many CTOs see the same thing right now. Their developers have Claude Code, Codex or GitHub Copilot. A few engineers are far ahead, while the rest are still experimenting. Yet releases ship no faster, because the speed stays with individuals.
Our services:
AI training for engineering teams: two days for 8 to 12 people, remote or on site, in German or English. Before lunch on day one, everyone is working with the agent themselves.
Claude Code training: Claude Code is the example in every course. The way of working transfers to Codex, Cursor and GitHub Copilot.
AI training for every role: seven courses, for development and QA, platform and DevOps, product management, security and business teams.
Leading Agentic Engineering: a course for engineering and product leaders on what you steer, what you measure and what you let run.
Mentoring after the training: we join your teams in their own work, in refinement, planning, review and retro, until the new ways of working stick.
Rollout to many teams: one pilot team first, then more teams in waves, until your platform team carries the practice itself.
Our way is see one, do one, teach one. We build the first piece while your team watches. Your team builds the second, then teaches the third team without us.
The result shows in less time from a customer's request to production and a lower cost per shipped change. The practices stay with your own people after we leave.
What clients say:
"We've streamlined our processes across the entire Scrum cycle, from epics through sprint planning to deployment. The team spends less time on alignment loops and more on actual value creation. My advice: just do it."
– Chris Dornhoff, CTO, Krombacher
"We went from 2 engineers playing with agentic coding to 20 using it daily. We created 17 skills and 9 agents available to every engineer."
– Tom Hibbert, Chief Technology Officer, Moonfare
"We work with AI much more deliberately now. 'Agent first' has become our reflex: do we need to do this ourselves, or can an AI agent handle it? The collaboration took the fear away from our developers."
– Michael Mohring, Head of Product Development, adesso insurance solutions
We have trained teams at adesso insurance solutions, blau direkt, bonprix, dm, EGYM, eventim, Haufe Group, IONOS, Krombacher, LichtBlick, Mercedes-Benz, Picnic, SIGNAL IDUNA, Tchibo and Vorwerk, among others.
We have built large software systems for more than 20 years and have worked with agents since late 2022. Our founder Benedikt Stemmildt was an engineer, architect and CIO at OTTO, Breuninger and BLUME2000. He chairs the program of code.talks, talks agentic engineering with guests such as Steve Yegge, Sam Newman and Patrick Debois on the Rethink Engineering podcast, and co-wrote "Building the Agentic Software Factory" with Alex Merced, out with Packt in November 2026. Stefan Munz and Benedikt Stemmildt lead every engagement, and trainers from a network of more than 70 practitioners deliver the courses.
