Ein einmal gespeicherter Pass bleibt also immer aktuell, egal ob es um neue Infos, Änderungen oder Aktionen geht.

Die Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten sind klar strukturiert, aber nicht grenzenlos kreativ. Wer sehr ausgefallene Designs oder komplett individuelle Logiken erwartet, stößt irgendwann an Limits. Für die meisten Anwendungsfälle ist das jedoch völlig ausreichend.

There is very little to dislike. One point that initially created some uncertainty was planning push notifications in advance — specifically understanding which version of the content users would see at the moment of delivery.

Die Oberfläche von Passcreator wirkt etwas veraltet und ist stellenweise ziemlich kleinteilig. Vermutlich ist die Kleinteiligkeit aber auch bei diesem komplexen Thema nur schwer vermeidbar. Mit etwas Geduld und der Dokumentation sind wir damit aber gut klargekommen.

Unsere größte Herausforderung war, dass wir für ein – in diesem Bereich – eher kleines Projekt mit dreistelliger Nutzerzahl Wallet-Pässe für iPhones und Android-Smartphones zur Verfügung stellen wollten. Schon das Einarbeiten in die Eigenheiten von Wallet-Pässen auf nur einer Plattform erschien uns ziemlich komplex, daher vereinfacht Passcreator das für uns entscheidend.

Das Pricing sollte pro aktiven Pass (ID) sein, Nicht pro aktiven Pass auf allen Geräten. So ist der finanzielle Einsatz schwer abzuschätzen, da man die Anzahl der Geräte eines Kunden nicht unter Kontrolle hat.

In zwei verschiedenen Applikationen werden Jahresabos verwaltet. Die Eine betrifft den Öffentlichen Verkehr, die andere einen Kinobetrieb. Wichtig ist, dass alles automatisch ohne Usereingriff läuft. Die Kontrollfunktion via App von Passcreator hilft bei der Kontrolle.

What did you like?

Extensive features that cover just about any use case imaginable for tickets, punch cards, vouchers, etc. Their service is also very good and responsive to inquiries, even from a smaller volume customer like our agency. The pricing is fair and can be scaled up/down monthly without penalty. It makes what can be a complex service easy to use, and easy to integrate into other systems via API or Zapier.

What did you not like?

Documentation, guides, and tutorials need improvements. UI is a bit disorganized so it can take multiple edits to find and set all the options you want for a ticket.

Which problems are you solving with the product?

Needed to create a bespoke digital ticketing system for VIP events help by an enterprise customer. Passcreator made it possible to do this in under 4 weeks, with just a few days to a POC to demonstrate to the customer.

Das englischsprachige Online-Handbuch ist zwar sehr umfangreich und detailliert, aber nicht immer ist alles gleich klar. An manchen Stellen wäre eine intuitive Bedienerführung hilfreich.

Management von Mitgliederausweisen. Wir haben ca. 1.200 Mitglieder die auch manchmal ihren Status verändert haben wollen oder auch mal ausscheiden. Bisher war das mit PVC-Ausweisen eine kostspielige und zeitlich anspruchsvolle Arbeit für den Clubsekretär.

Despite how intricate the whole system is, mostly everything is very well explained and put together in a easy to approach way.

What did you not like?

Some small errors have no messages that explain what exactly is wrong. My main example: Quite some time ago we were setting up text messages for people when they receive their cards and I'm guessing the message was too long and that's why it crashed the page but we didn't get any sort of message to convey that. I had to do manual tests until it worked and made sense.
