Früher haben wir uns darauf verlassen, dass unsere Kunden Produkte anhand von Bildern und Textbeschreibungen beurteilen. Natürlich haben wir immer versucht, das Bestmögliche herauszuholen, aber am Ende des Tages blieb doch oft ein Gefühl der Unsicherheit, sowohl bei uns als auch bei den Kunden. Wird das Produkt in der Realität wirklich so wirken? Stimmt die Größe? Wie sieht es aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln aus? All diese Fragen konnten wir nicht zu 100 % beantworten. Mit rooom hat sich das grundlegend geändert. Wir nutzen diese Plattform nun als virtuelle Präsentationsfläche, auf der unsere Kunden unsere Produkte in einer völlig neuen Dimension erleben können. Sie können jedes Detail betrachten, das Produkt in 360 Grad drehen, hineinzoomen, es im Kontext betrachten.

In marketing, it's all about leaving a lasting impression. And that’s not always easy in the digital space. But with rooom, we now have a Digital Sales Room that does exactly that: it impresses and it does so in a meaningful way. Our clients can dive into interactive showrooms, explore products and services, all as if they were walking through a real store. We can tailor these showrooms to perfectly reflect our brand and interact with customers live. No more endless PowerPoint slides or clunky screen-sharing sessions. The customer gets an experience that truly sticks.

What did you not like?

Personally, I initially struggled to create a structure that worked for me. Sometimes, less is more, and this is where rooom could benefit from being a bit more streamlined. The Digital Sales Room is a fantastic idea, no doubt about it. However, there are moments when the platform doesn’t run as smoothly as one would hope. Especially when multiple users are in the showroom at the same time, there can occasionally be delays or minor technical glitches.

Since we started using rooom, our virtual office has transformed into something I can genuinely call home. It’s not just a workplace; it’s a space where I can be both productive and comfortable. The platform offers an incredibly user-friendly interface that allows us to tailor our work environment to our exact needs. No more boring, standardized video calls where you wonder if the other person is secretly scrolling through Instagram. Instead, we now have a space where we can interact almost like we’re in a real office just without the stress of commuting.

The implementation of rooom was surprisingly straightforward and quick. Thanks to the dedicated team at rooom, the integration into our existing systems went smoothly. Within just a few weeks, we had our first virtual product showcase ready. The rooom team helped us upload all relevant data onto the platform and accurately create the 3D models. Using rooom’s augmented reality features, I integrate interactive elements into our webinars and demos. Our product development and marketing teams also use rooom to visualize and align new concepts and designs early on.

With very complex and detailed 3D models, which we often use, there are occasionally longer loading times. This can be particularly problematic during live presentations with clients, as it disrupts the flow. Einen derart exzellenten Kundenservice habe ich bisher noch nirgendwo erlebt, das Team setzt hier wirklich Maßstäbe! Mit nur wenigen Stunden Lernaufwand lassen sich bereits beeindruckende Ergebnisse erzielen und mit ein wenig Einarbeitung kann man gefühlt innerhalb weniger Tage ein Profi Nutzer werden.

Die ständigen E-Mails sind deutlich weniger geworden und das spart uns jede Menge Zeit. Was besonders herausragend ist, ist die Möglichkeit 3D-Modelle lediglich aus einfachen Produktbildern zu erstellen.

An einigen Stellen gibt es noch Raum für technische Verbesserungen. Insgesamt läuft die Anwendung jedoch reibungslos und ist nahezu frei von Fehlern. Sollte es doch einmal zu Problemen kommen, bietet das rooom-Team zügig Unterstützung und schnelle Lösungen. Verbesserungsvorschläge werden zügig aufgegriffen und umgesetzt.

Falls es einmal ein Problem gibt, kann man sich darauf verlassen, dass der Support stets eine passende Lösung anbietet. Zusätzlich gibt es auf der Webseite eine sehr gut strukturierte FAQ-Seite, die viele Fragen im Voraus beantwortet. Dort findet man klare und verständliche Erklärungen zu den wichtigsten Themen und Funktionen, was die Nutzung der Plattform noch einfacher macht. Wir haben gemeinsam mit der ROOOM AG einen Telemedizin-Raum erstellt, der flexibel und modern gestaltet ist. Dieser Raum kann sowohl auf einem normalen Display als auch mit einer VR-Brille betrachtet werden, was ein immersives und vielseitiges Erlebnis ermöglicht. Das Besondere daran ist, dass keinerlei Programmierkenntnisse erforderlich sind, Erwähnenswert läuft das gesamte System in einer webbasierten Umgebung . Mit anderen Worten: Alles, was man braucht, ist ein Browser – zusätzliche Software oder Hardware ist nicht notwendig.

Was mir nicht gefällt, ist, dass es nicht immer einfach ist, die Objekte zu bewegen, da man mit einem Koordinatensystem arbeiten muss, was gerade für Anfänger oder bei komplexen Szenen mühsam sein kann. Zusätzlich muss man nach jeder Bearbeitung des Raumes die neue Version für die VR-Brille manuell erstellen lassen, was den Workflow etwas unterbricht. Ein weiteres Problem ist, dass die Seiten manchmal länger brauchen, um zu laden, was die Arbeit verzögern kann. Außerdem kommt es gelegentlich vor, dass einige Elemente im Raum nicht korrekt dargestellt werden. Dieses Problem lässt sich zwar meistens mit einem Refresh beheben, es ist jedoch ärgerlich, wenn es häufiger auftritt und den Arbeitsfluss stört.
