The Webgears Group successfully operates international Smart-Shopping Portals that reach more than ten million users each month. Our goal is to give our users access to vouchers and deals to provide them with inspiration during their shopping process. This is achieved using an intelligent system to pair an extensive list of e-commerce brands on the sites of popular media companies. In addition to the deal communities mydealz and hotukdeals, digital US media brands such as reduc.fr in France, CNET, The Daily Beast and boston.com, Glamour and The Sun in the UK or Welt, Bild and Computerbild in Germany rank amongst our partners.

 

The Strategic Partnerships Manager, US (m / f / d) reports directly to the VP, Business Development and takes on the key role of researching and negotiating hand-selected, new strategic publisher partners within the US market, as well as managing successful relationships with existing US-based strategic media partners.

 

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Identify, research and pitch new, high-profile media and publisher brands for long term partnership
  • Maintain oversight of primary US-market commerce content publishers and service providers, including potential strategic partners as well as competitors
  • Drive and propose performance initiatives for existing US partners
  • Specialize in multiple disciplines and serve as primary contact for all areas of existing partnerships (i.e. SEO, online marketing, traffic monetization)
  • Assure top levels of service for existing and potential partners by ensuring all internal processes and quality standards are met or exceeded
  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact person for new and potential US partners; Communicator for all matters related to each cooperation
  • Analyze partner performance trends and other factors in order to improve essential decisions and projects for future growth
  • Continuous identification of changes in partner performance, provision of meaningful reports and derivation of recommendations for action for internal / external stakeholders
  • Attend in-person industry events and meetings with partners, whenever relevant or impactful, for the purpose of exchanging insights, developing existing relationships and presenting new business proposals.

 

Your Profile:

  • You’ve completed a Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Business Administration (or significant hands-on experience in a similar discipline).
  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position (or related to the area of account and project management).
  • You’re well-versed in conducting a live sales pitch, being able to quickly match anticipated or communicated needs with solutions.
  • You’re motivated by working with a wide variety of disciplines and stakeholders simultaneously to achieve high levels of satisfaction and quantifiable growth for all involved.
  • You have native-level English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • You consider yourself an open and flexible personality who can quickly adapt as needed in a fast-paced industry.
  • You are an analytical and solution-oriented manager with a high sense of prioritization and self-responsibility.
  • You (ideally) possess existing operational or management experience in affiliate marketing, online marketing and/or ecommerce (specifically the US-market).
