The position is a maternity cover to be filled by January 1, 2023, with a contract duration of one year.  Employment location will be Bonn, Germany. 

As Online Communication Manager (maternity cover) you are responsible for the planning, coordination and creation of target group specific content for the german and international websites of Welthungerhilfe. You will be responsible for all editorial processes and work in close cooperation with colleagues and external service providers to optimize the content and structure of the websites. In addition, you will further develop the online content strategy and coordinate the online editorial office.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Strategic development and optimization of Welthungerhilfe's web presence in terms of content quality, structure and user-friendliness
  • Coordinating content planning and -creation with special focus on content findability in search engines
  • Control of editorial processes and interdisciplinary coordination with other units
  • Identification and implementation of measures for search engine optimization (Onpage-SEO)
  • Project management for the implementation of campaigns, technical projects or individual content formats
  • Development of communication and coordination structures in an interdisciplinary marketing team

 

Your profile

  • A university or polytechnic degree, preferably in a relevant area
  • At least 3-5 years professional experience in the field of online communication and content management
  • Relevant experience in controlling and managing external service providers such as freelancers and agencies
  • Very good knowledge of the use of the Content Management System TYPO3 and systems for web analysis, for example Google Analytics
  • Data-based working method aligned with concrete impact measurements
  • Very good knowledge in the coordination and management of interdisciplinary and international project teams
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English
