Global Brand Manager (m/f/x)

Short info about the team
As part of the multibrand Global Marketing team, the Global Brand Manager (m/f/x) for Hamburg Süd is responsible for understanding what makes our target audience tick, and for developing brand strategies and omni-channel marketing communications that position our brand according to these motivators, establish our reputation in the market and generate commercial outcomes with our brand activation. In this role, you'll collaborate with teams all over the world in the Maersk Group and work with award-winning agencies to drive and shape the future of our brand and industry.

Tasks

  • Manage and build the brand as a catalyst for business transformation with a best-in-class strategic approach, steer, and guide plans across marketing disciplines within the team
  • Maintain, adjust, and implement a central brand marketing strategy for Hamburg Süd that creates commercial value for the Maersk Group within a multi-brand architecture
  • Develop and execute global marketing campaigns aimed at communicating our brand message to our target audience, while leading regional marketing team members through campaigns
  • Leverage customer trends and insights to keep the brand up to date
  • Steer agencies to successfully carry out brand strategy and activation projects

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, or higher, within marketing, economics and/or communications
  • At least several years of work experience mandatory in B2B or B2C marketing, sales, or communication; brand strategy experience in a consultancy or agency strongly preferred
  • Ability to orchestrate omni-channel creative marketing communication following strategic brand direction and delivering commercial outcomes
  • Track record of steering global, award-winning agencies and delivering marketing communication with commercial outcome
  • Strong analytical skills: fluency in applying brand strategy tools paired with ingenuity and the drive to create sustainable value
  • Data- and results-driven
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Spanish, Portuguese and/or German language skills appreciated
