We are a team of 26 developers, designers and product managers spread all over Europe. Some of us work remotely and some of us work at the OMR office in Hamburg. OMR is growing fast and with that comes strong demand to build more and more product features for a variety of OMR products. To help meet our customers' evolving needs, we are looking to expand our team and find new colleagues who share our enthusiasm for innovation and creating the best user experience. YOUR MISSION

Tech stack:

• You will work with Ruby on Rails on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend
• For the communication between frontend and backend and other backends you will use GraphQL
• We’re running Elasticsearch to power our job search
• As storage solution, we are using MySQL
• We are fully running on Kubernetes within Google Cloud and a fully automated CI Pipeline powered by GitHub Actions

 Tasks: 

• Design, build, and maintain performant, reliable web services
• Producing clean, high-quality code and testing for our features that helps our customers and users
• Actively contribute to code and design reviews within the team
• Contribute engineering input and feedback into product planning processes
• Partner with fellow engineers in our team to accomplish projects together

YOUR PROFILE

• 5+ years of relevant work experience as a (full-stack) software engineer
• Proficiency with Ruby (on Rails) and database management at scale
• Proficiency with Vue.js or another web frontend architecture like React or Angular
• The willingness to learn and constantly improve your own skills, and are not afraid to jump into new things
• Good communication skills and willingness to talk with product management and you always keep the end-user in mind
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Nice-to-haves:
• Experience using Google Cloud Services, Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with GraphQL in production systems
• Experience with GitHub Actions

Behind the media brand OMR is the Ramp106 GmbH, a thriving  360° media company with a focus on digital business, marketing, finance, tech and new mobility. Based in Hamburg, Germany, Ramp 106 currently employs a team of 360 people.

These include the online campus OMR Academy, our OMR Deep Dive seminar series as well as our OMR Reports, practice-oriented publications on current digital marketing topics which appear monthly.

OMR Jobs Team focusses on recruiting & employer branding topics. From the digital and marketing jobs platform OMR Jobs to our recruiting event and employer branding campaigns and projects across all OMR channels.

Additional verticals include our media brands FINANCE FWD, focussing on the fintech industry, and FUTURE MOVES, covering new mobility matters. Additionally, Ramp 106 operates the Heinrich Herz TV Tower in Hamburg, along with Messe Hamburg and Home United.
