Sea-Watch e.V. is a non-profit initiative dedicated to civilian sea rescue in the Central Mediterranean. In the face of an ongoing and state-initiated humanitarian catastrophe, we provide acute emergency aid with our ships Sea-Watch 5 & Aurora and our aircraft Seabird 1 & Seabird 2. We try to save as many people as possible from drowning. Sea-Watch has so far been involved in the rescue of over 45,000 people on the move. We publicly stand up for legal escape routes, freedom of movement and a Europe based on solidarity. Sea-Watch is politically and religiously independent and is financed exclusively by donations.
