Is AI killing productivity? Employees in Germany find themselves equipped with a tool that provides support but also adds stress. Among the youth, this uncertainty runs even deeper: one in two fears that their own cognitive abilities will atrophy because of AI. In such a climate, how is anyone supposed to know which career path to choose or which skills will remain in demand tomorrow? For companies desperately seeking the next generation of talent, this exacerbates the situation: they must find young people and win them over for the long term. With SIEYA (Siemens: Your Adventure), Siemens is reaching out to young talent through a "recrutainment" concept. The goal: to lower the barrier to entry for technical professions in an era of skilled labor shortages. This is achieved via a web app that teaches subjects like AI, cybersecurity, and robotics in a playful, engaging way—utilizing authentic design principles instead of a dry brochure.
