Tough situation: the Festival has been cancelled—but we're not going anywhere.
It’s been a couple of days since we announced last Thursday that we had to cancel the OMR Festival 2020. Believe us, it was an incredibly emotional situation for every single one of us at OMR. We had obviously hoped that you would all understand the move given the current state of things. But we were completely caught off-guard by the amount of feedback and positive vibes you sent our way.
All of our partners, exhibitors and speakers we spoke to Thursday and Friday, expressed their concerns about the development, but every single one of them understood that it was the right move. We even got a lot of positive feedback from ticketholders, who we’ll be unable to see in Hamburg this May. We just wanted to say thank you for the solidarity in this unprecedented time—and an extra special shoutout to those of you who sent us care packages with candies and spirits.
We’ll be back and stronger than ever for OMR21
All of the positive resonance helped us get through this most trying situation in the history of OMR. It means a lot to us. And to everyone out there affected by the Corona pandemic in one way or another, we’d like to take the opportunity to say: It’s an unprecedented situation. Let’s pull together and support each other as much as we can.
Take care of yourselves and we’ll see you at the very latest in 417 days at OMR 2021.
