About the speaker

Andrea Petković, born in Tuzla, Bosnia in 1987, moved with her family to Darmstadt at the age of six months. She started playing tennis at six and reached the top ten of the world rankings in 2011 and 2014. The US Open 2022 marked her final tournament. Beyond tennis, she gained recognition as a writer: her columns for SZ-Magazin in 2018 attracted wide attention, followed by her debut book "Zwischen Ruhm und Ehre liegt die Nacht" in 2020 and "Zeit, sich aus dem Staub zu machen" in 2023. She contributes columns to Die Zeit and Sports Illustrated. Since 2023, she has also been working as an analyst and expert for Tennis Channel in the USA. She remains deeply rooted in tennis: on behalf of the German Tennis Federation, she supports youth development in high-performance sports and, as Director of Excitement at the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin, injects fresh energy and visibility into the game. Andrea Petković divides her time between New York and Darmstadt.

Longevity as a Wearable: Why Consumers Around the World Use Wearable Pioneer Whoop

Back in 2012, while still student at Harvard, Will Ahmed—then captain of the varsity squash team—developed a wrist-based wearable that could track a variety of body metrics, like heart rate. This marked the starting gun for the next wave of health tech and wearables, and WHOOP remains a key player in the space to this day. Under Will Ahmed's leadership, the company has raised hundreds of millions of dollars from notable VCs like SoftBank and IVP. But it has also won over many of the world's highest performing people: football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, tennis pro Aryna Sabalenka, and singer Niall Horan are just a few on the long list of individuals who use or have even invested in WHOOP. What is little known, however, is the special role the city of Hamburg has played in this global success story from the start. The American tech company’s Head of Design is Martin Oberhäuser, founder of the Hamburg-based "Bureau Oberhäuser." For over a decade, he has worked closely with Will Ahmed, profoundly shaping the WHOOP product design and visual identity. Next May at the OMR Festival, Founder & CEO Will Ahmed and Head of Design Martin Oberhäuser will reveal how this unique partnership came to be, how WHOOP successfully established a subscription model in a competitive market, and what the future holds for the company.

Subscription features have become a core component of almost every major social media platform. The promise: giving creators the opportunity to monetize their content directly, rather than relying solely on brand deals and reach. For a long time, this was only possible through third-party platforms—most notably OnlyFans. While it was primarily used for "adult content" in its early years following its 2016 launch, its user base has long included creators from the sports, music, and film industries. Keily Blair has been the CEO of OnlyFans for about three years, responsible for the company’s strategic direction—as well as its billion-dollar revenues and user growth. On the Conference Stage, Keily Blair will explain what truly matters when it comes to communities and fan engagement.
