The Young Innovators Program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) supports young, innovative companies in showcasing their ideas and products at selected leading trade fairs in Germany. The aim of the initiative is to optimally promote the marketing of new products, processes, and services, thereby making it easier for start-ups and young enterprises to access key markets. Within the program, a large share of the costs for booth rental and booth construction is covered: 60% for the first two trade fair participations, and 50% from the third participation onwards – up to a maximum of €7,500 per trade fair and exhibitor. In total, companies can receive funding for up to three participations in the same trade fair. This gives young companies the opportunity to present their innovations on a major stage and establish valuable connections with potential customers, partners, and investors. You and your company are eligible for the Young Innovators Program if your business is based in Germany and operates there, you have no more than 50 employees, your annual revenue does not exceed €10 million, and your company was founded within the last 10 years.

You and your company should participate because you will gain maximum visibility for your product in front of a broad yet relevant audience, have access to valuable networking opportunities, and generate leads from a high-quality target group. In addition, the program gives you the chance to position yourself as an attractive employer and expand your media presence.

Applying for the program is easy: On the BAFA website, you can find the current application form under the “Forms” tab. There is also a step-by-step guide available to help you complete your application.

After you have completed and submitted the form on the BAFA website, your application for funding will be reviewed. This process can take a few days up to a few weeks. Once your application has been reviewed and your company’s eligibility for funding confirmed, we will get in touch with you. Together, we will then discuss the next steps, such as the contract, your placement at the OMR Festival, and other details.

Many things are possible with us up until shortly before the festival begins in early May, depending on our capacities. However, you should submit your application to BAFA by April 15, 2026, at the latest. The earlier you apply, the higher the chance that we can accommodate your preferred placement.
