About the speaker

Wolfgang König has been a member of the Management Board of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA since 2021 and is responsible for the Consumer Brands business unit, which generates nearly ten billion euros in revenue. In this role, he shapes the strategic direction of the global consumer goods business and the development of brands within the Hair (including Schwarzkopf) and Laundry & Home Care (including Persil) categories—with a clear focus on growth, brand equity, and consumer centricity.

With 30 years of international leadership and marketing experience at companies such as Beiersdorf, Colgate-Palmolive, and Kellogg, and career milestones across several European countries as well as 15 years in North America and Mexico, Wolfgang König brings extensive expertise in managing global brand portfolios. Following the merger of the previously independent Hair and Laundry & Home Care business units, he took over joint leadership of both entities and has since spearheaded the development of Consumer Brands as an integrated, high-performance organization.

Wolfgang König also serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of Mast-Jägermeister SE. He is married, a father of three, and a passionate American football fan who lives the same team spirit outside the office that he brings to the company.
