The Hamburg Media School (HMS), founded in 2003, is a public-private partnership and lighthouse project of the Hamburg Office of Science and Research, Hamburg University, the College of Fine Arts of Hamburg, and the HMS Foundation, together with over 50 renowned media companies. As part of the Finkenau Art and Media Campus, HMS partners with the TIDE community and educational TV channel. This is the basis for our accredited MA programs in Media Management, Film, and Digital Journalism. In addition to its master's programs, HMS offers a bachelor's program in digital media in partnership with Leuphana University Lüneburg. HMS also offers an extensive continuing education program, with a particular focus on AI, video, and marketing.
What is your next career step? Need a job change? Finding a new career? Starting your own business? Head back to school? Or something else entirely? Armin Rott knows these questions first-hand from countless counseling sessions as a professor at the University of Hamburg and head of a study program at the Hamburg Media School. He has helped guide some extraordinary entrepreneurs over the years. Among others, he convinced Philipp Westermeyer to come to Hamburg and accompanied the first years of OMR intensively. In this Masterclass, he will share his most important tips on how you can find your very own path to a successful start in this industry. Secure your spot in his Masterclass now and let yourself be inspired.
Leverage your reach for truly important issues: Top creator Sally Lisa Starken (“Die Informantin”) will be presenting her brand-new book, “Wenn der rechte Rand regiert” at the HMS booth. Experience an exclusive 20-minute reading from this highly topical work and then discuss it directly with the author. We've prepared the most pressing questions, and afterward, the microphone is yours! Take advantage of the meet & greet for a personal conversation with Sally Lisa and have your copy signed.
What's the best way to kick off your first day at OMR? With fresh coffee, breakfast, and inspiring insights at the exclusive Women in AI Breakfast. We're incredibly excited for a talk with a true pioneer: Johanna Heise, CEO of heise ventures and Managing Director of Heise Knowledge. In conversation with Carolin Schramm, an HMS alumna, she'll share her experiences from her impressive career in the tech and media world, discuss future-proof brand culture, and explore the role of AI. Grab your dose of (brain)food, network with the community, and start your day inspired!
