Role Overview
As we accelerate our brand presence and cultural relevance, we’re looking for a high-impact Social Media Specialist who doesn’t just manage channels — but builds communities, shapes conversations, and drives measurable growth.
This is a role for a digital-native storyteller with strategic depth, creator instinct, and strong influencer management expertise.
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for owning and elevating BYD social media ecosystem across all major platforms — turning brand moments into cultural relevance, engagement into loyalty, and creators into long-term brand advocates.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute platform-specific strategies across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and emerging channels
- Translate brand positioning into compelling, high-performing content formats
- Manage content calendars, publishing schedules, and real-time activations
- Monitor trends, algorithms, and platform updates to ensure first-mover advantage
Content Creation
- Concept, shoot, edit, and publish high-quality native content (video-first mindset essential)
- Develop short-form, long-form, and live content formats
- Ensure visual and tonal consistency across all touchpoints
- Collaborate with internal teams and external production partners
Influencer & Creator Management
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationship with relevant influencers and content creators in the automotive and lifestyle industries.
- Build long-term partnerships, not one-off posts
- Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and track performance
- Co-create authentic storytelling that resonates with communities
- Oversee campaign execution from briefing to reporting
Community & Performance
- Actively engage and grow communities across platforms
- Analyze KPIs (engagement, reach, CTR, conversions, sentiment)
- Provide actionable insights and continuous optimization
- Align paid, owned, and earned strategies for maximum impact
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 3–5+ years’ experience in social media, digital marketing, or creator economy
- Proven experience as a content creator and/or influencer
- Skilled in video/images production
- Proficiency in advanced AI tools for social content ideation, creation, optimization, and performance analysis, including but not limited to ChatGPT (OpenAI), Google Gemini, Jasper AI, Predis.ai, Canva AI / Magic Studio, Adobe Firefly, Buffer AI Assistant, Copy.ai and Perplexity AI — with ability to integrate these tools into efficient editorial workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and produce high-quality cross-platform content at scale
- Deep understanding of all major social media platforms and their algorithms (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube,etc.)
- Strong network and hands-on experience in influencer management preferably in automotive sector
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
