The position is to be filled as soon as possible with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
Welthungerhilfe coordinates and manages its communication in media relations and marketing via a so-called newsroom. In this newly created structure, we ensure integrated communication across all channels and media and implement the organizational strategy in the operational business. Agile and flexible structures ensure rapid responsiveness and our way of working is characterized by short coordination channels, open dialogue and clear, flat hierarchies.
Your responsibilities
- As CvD you manage the newsroom professionally and orchestrate our communication
- You ensure consistent messages across all channels and support consistent branding
- In your interface function, you take on both process control and editorial tasks
- You ensure that our strategic topics are translated into day-to-day business, prioritize topics and lead editorial conferences As the central interface, you ensure that all processes between the various teams run smoothly and efficiently
- You help us to use resources more efficiently and communicate quickly in the event of a crisis
- You keep an eye on the quality and tone of our content so that it meets the highest standards and we get our message across effectively
- You will also use data and analytics to measure the success of our communication measures and optimize our strategies accordingly
Your profile
- You have completed journalistic education (degree and/or traineeship)
- You have extensive knowledge of journalism, experience in managing editorial teams and coordinating content creation
- At the same time, you have experience in marketing communication and a good feel for marketing relevant content
- You think strategically and have a strong understanding of different channels and target groups in cross-media communication
- You keep an overview and keep a cool head even in stressful situations
- You are an organizational talent who convinces with strong communication skills In addition to your stylistically confident writing style, you have a practiced eye for imagery
- You understand how to find solutions with a wide range of stakeholders and at the same time keep an eye on communicative goals in an assertive manner
- You are willing to work flexible hours in crisis situations
- You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills
