Bill Kaulitz is an international musician, entrepreneur, and one of the most influential figures in German pop culture. As Strategic Manager of Global Partnerships at Meta, Mathilde Burnecki serves as the link between creators, public figures, and the company itself. Since early 2025, Petra Scharner-Wolff has been responsible for the Group’s future as CEO of the Otto Group. And Antoine Le Nel is the Global Chief Growth & Marketing Officer at Revolut, Europe’s most valuable startup. All four will be speaking on the big stages at the OMR Festival on May 5 and 6.
It’s that time again next week: the OMR Festival kicks off in Hamburg. Over the past few months, there have naturally been plenty of announcements regarding speakers, exhibitors, Masterclasses, Guided Tours, Side Events, and more. To help you keep track and pick the topics that fit your individual needs, we’ve come up with something new this year. Our Journeys are designed to provide orientation. They bundle the dozens of topics and interests represented at the festival under overarching headlines—so you can find exactly what helps you move forward.
Behind the Glasses – Bill Kaulitz & Meta’s Thilda discuss what advertising really needs
Bill Kaulitz is an international musician, entrepreneur, and one of the most influential figures in German pop culture. As the frontman of Tokio Hotel, he achieved global fame at a young age, building an international career with millions of records sold and sold-out tours worldwide. Beyond his music career, he has long been a versatile entrepreneur and media personality—from his own brands and the podcast "Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood" (co-hosted with his brother Tom) to the Netflix series "Kaulitz & Kaulitz" and, later this year, as the host of the legendary German show "Wetten, dass..?". On the Blue Stage, he will join Mathilde Burnecki (@thild.a), Strategic Manager Global Partnerships at Meta, to discuss what truly defines successful and authentic advertising today—and what happens when things don’t go quite as planned.
Agentic Commerce: Trends and Visions for the Future of Retail
What happens if, in the future, your online shopping is handled by an AI assistant that negotiates and makes purchases independently? Petra Scharner-Wolff, CEO of the Otto Group, and Philipp Justus, VP Central Europe at Google, will discuss this and other questions on the HBO Max Stage. They will shed light on the hot topic of "Agentic Commerce" and their shared journey into this new era. Is Agentic Commerce the solution for the perfect customer experience? How does it influence customer relationships, and where are the opportunities for marketing and sales? Discover the visions the Otto Group and Google are pursuing for the coming years and why retail might be facing its biggest disruption since the invention of e-commerce.
Banking Reinvented: The Revolut Playbook to 100 Million Customers
Banking in Europe is changing rapidly. Yet, for millions of people, things remain largely the same as they fail to truly leverage new possibilities. Revolut wants to change exactly that. In just ten years, the company has grown to over 70 million customers—becoming Europe’s most valuable startup. On the HBO Max Stage, Antoine Le Nel, Chief Growth and Marketing Officer at Revolut, will explain how the neobank achieved this. He will also share how the company is driving its next phase of growth toward the 100-million-customer milestone through its unique model, product innovations, and high-profile partnerships with Formula 1, the NBA, and Manchester City.
