OMR Festival 2018 draws to a close this evening after two days of non-stop networking, learning and speakers. For the first time ever, the event drew over 40,000 digital marketing aficionados to Hamburg—an increase of an impressive 14,000 compared to the year before. The online marketing industry met up for the annual get together in 6 Halls at the Hamburg exhibition center, where they presented new products, connected on ideas, discussed the latest trends and celebrated with the Rockstars and influencers of the industry. Another first at OMR18, digital political topics, with a spirited debate on the upcoming ePrivacy regulations between EU Vice President Andrus Ansip and Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner.
“I am truly grateful for the support from the industry and very satisfied with how the two days went. We are very well positioned with the event. There is a lot going on in the industry and we intend to follow and accompany it, and do our part to influence it a bit as well,” says OMR founder and event organizer Philipp Westermeyer.
Hamburg, 23 March, 2018 – The national and international marketing scene held their annual get together in Hamburg at the OMR Festival 2018 over the past two days. In the evening the Festival highlight, the Conference, came to a close with data guru Nate Silver, Instagram star and power business lady Kayla Itsines and blogger Tim Urban all on stage. Some 7000 attended the Conference, as well as the ensuing Live Acts party—an OMR staple.
Big name exhibitors like Google, Facebook, Ströer, Audi and Adobe as well as young up and comers like adjust, Stoyo and Sovendus presented their products, services and vision in two dedicated Expo halls. Just over 300 exhibitors showcased their companies on over 65,000 sqm at their own personalized booths.
In addition to the Expo, the Festival also offers an exhaustive content package including over 120 Masterclasses, where attendees could acquire useful and practical success strategies for their business, or could learn more about individual exhibitors in 40 Guided Tours across the Expo.
But the Expo content didn’t stop at the exhibitor stands and Masterclass rooms as two Expo stages provided attendees with even more infotainment. Established industry success stories spoke about latest trends and developments the Deep Dive and Big Picture stages respectively. Speakers at OMR18 included, fashion designer and Porsche collector Magnus Wagner, musical.ly Stars Lisa and Lena, influencer and German top model Lena Gercke, as well as EU VP Andrus Ansip.
