Dr. Eva Flecken has been the Director of the Media Authority Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb) since March 15, 2021, and as of January 1, 2024, she is the Chair of the Commission for Licensing and Supervision (ZAK) and the Conference of Directors of the State Media Authorities (DLM). Most recently, Eva Flecken served as Vice President at Sky Germany, overseeing the areas of regulation and youth protection, as well as politics for the DACH region. Before taking over the leadership of Sky’s Berlin capital office in 2014, she was responsible for digital projects, network, and media policy at mabb. As an advisor on platform regulation and media policy at the Joint Office of the State Media Authorities, Eva Flecken had already been dealing with issues related to the digitization of broadcasting.
