Your Freedom Ends Where The Freedom of Others' Begins

A major event like #OMR25 brings together a wide variety of people and ideas. Solidarity and non-discrimination is therefore a top priority for us at the OMR Festival. We believe in the power of diversity. Therefore, we stand firmly against any form of extremist ideology and condemn all forms of hate and discrimination. Through various measures, we are committed to ensuring a discrimination-free OMR Festival.

By purchasing a ticket or entering the OMR Festival grounds, you accept our Declaration of Commitment:

  • We value respectful, open-minded, and attentive interactions, ensuring that everyone at the OMR Festival feels safe and comfortable.

  • We appreciate all individuals on the festival grounds, regardless of origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, or disability.

  • We strongly reject sexism, racism, antisemitism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and extremism.

  • We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, (sexualized) violence, or boundary violations.

Awareness

AWARENESS TEAM

If you feel uncomfortable, have experienced discrimination or boundary violations, need someone to accompany you around the festival, or need support in any way, please reach out to the Awareness Team. The Awareness Team is here for you without judgment - you define why you feel uncomfortable and what you need to feel better.

ALL-GENDER TOILETS

ALL-GENDER TOILETS

To ensure equal participation for trans*, inter*, and non-binary individuals in the festival experience and to reduce potential for discrimination, there are all-gender toilets on the festival grounds. All visitors are welcome to use these, regardless of gender expression or identity.
They are identified by symbols for toilets and urinals and are located in Hall B5 and the outdoor area. Additionally, there are still women’s and men’s toilets available for anyone who identifies as female or male.

ACCESSIBILITY

ACCESSIBILITY

The Hamburg Messe grounds are accessible with elevators, lifts, and ramps. Each hall has accessible toilets.

  • In Hall B7, there is a designated area in front of the Conference Stage for individuals using wheelchairs.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide wheelchairs or special parking on-site.

If you encounter any barriers at the OMR Festival, please reach out to the Awareness Team at any time. Holders of a disability ID card with the "B" marker can bring a companion free of charge. We require proof of the disability ID in advance via email.

LOOKING OUT FOR EACH OTHER

LOOKING OUT FOR EACH OTHER

We would like to encourage everyone to intervene if you witness any instances of discrimination, boundary violations or harassment of any kind. You can offer help to the affected person or report what you observed to the Awareness Team. We only have the chance to act and take action, if you report it immediately.
We aim to implement the Awareness Concept at the OMR Festival to the best of our knowledge and belief and place great importance on continuously developing and expanding our measures. We are on a journey and far from perfect. If you notice something we've overlooked, please feel free to speak to us directly or email us at awareness@omr.com.
Together, we can learn from one another and help make our event a positive experience for everyone. We appreciate every constructive exchange and thank you for your contribution.
